A few weeks ago someone replied to my Cas post and very confidently said cas wasn’t that popular when he first came on the show and was only seen as a ‘third wheeling comic relief’ and I’m just sitting here watching the SDCC panel after season 4 and everyone on the panel can’t stop talking about Castiel and Misha.
Eric Kripke is excitedly telling that ‘yeah Cas is coming back’ since he died at the end of season 4.
Most of the questions are about Cas and in Kripke’s own words, ‘the introduction of angels rejuvenated the show, in no small part due to this guy (pointing at Misha beside him)’
One fan introduced herself as ‘misha’s minion’ and they asked who’s been following Misha’s twitter and everyone raised their hands 😂
Another thing I had no idea about was Mark and Misha were the final two choices for Castiel and misha for the role because he played into the confusion and curiosity for humanity. Which makes all the sense.
#besides I can’t see Nick as anyone but Lucifer now#he was perfect as Lucifer#just like misha was perfect castiel#and this was after season 4#season 5 hadn’t even begun yet#misha/cas haters really don’t like to admit the fact that he saved the show after season 7#supernatural#castiel#destiel#spn#dean winchester#misha collins#deancas#sam winchester

Baby’s First Spell | Nick Scratch x Male!Morningstar Reader x Harvey Kinkle
Fandom: The chilling adventures of Sabrina Pairing(s): Nick Scratch x Male!Morningstar Reader x Harvey Kinkle Summary: After a spell gone wrong Y/N finds himself turned into a baby and his boyfriends have to act as temporary dads to him...until his actual dad comes. Another cowrite with @inhumanshadows , I always love dad/parental acting stories so this was some great fluff haha. ...
You were reading one of the many spell books that your father had gifted you looking at all the different spells. "Anything interesting?" Harvey asked as he came up behind you.
"Nothing yet. I mean, yes there is, but nothing that catches MY eye you know."
Harvey nodded and Nick walked it. "Oh, we're looking at spells? There must be tons of fun ones in that book the dark lord gave you."
"Yeah. My dad sure does do a good job at giving gifts."
"Oh hey! Look at that, a youth spell. Makes you younger." Harvey pointed out.
"Harvey honey. Does it look like I need to get younger?" You said with some sarcasm.
Harvey shrugged. "I'm just trying to help."
You sigh. "I know you are. Sorry." You keep flipping the pages and huff. "Okay if I have to stare at another spell I will scream."
Nick takes the book away from you and fingers through it. "If it stresses you too much you'll age faster..."
"You just want me to do that age spell don't you?" You ask.
Nick smirks. "Guilty."
Harvey blushes. "You don't even have to go far, just like a couple years."
You let out a frustrated sigh. "Fine! Hand me the book Scratch."
Nick hands you the book and you recite the age spell. At first nothing happens then you feel as if you're getting smaller. "Is it working?"
"Yeah it's working." The boys answer.
Suddenly there's a small bang and a puff of smoke. When the smoke clears Nick and Harvey stare in shock. The book is on the ground and in your place was a baby.
"Oh praise the dark lord what happened??" Nick shouts.
You struggle and squirm around in your now over sized pile of clothes on the ground, crying.
"W-what happened!?" Harvey asked, staring down at you. "Is that him!?"
Nick was frozen speechless looking at you. "Yes, yes Kinkle I believe that is our boyfriend."
Harvey quickly sprung into action, picking you up and bouncing you in his arms trying to stop your crying. "Sshh, hey y/n. It's okay. It's going to be okay. We're here for you."
Nick came up besides him and gently grabbed your tiny arm. "Yeah, we'll get this figured out. Don't cry."
You're swimming in your shirt, Harvey using it as an impromptu blanket.
"Well?? What do we do?"
"Obviously something went wrong in the spell casting. But I don't know where..."
"Should we call his dad?"
"No!" Nick shouts, oddly enough not making you cry but giggle. "That is the nuclear option as you humans put it. Top priority is getting the little guy some clothes and diapers and food. Let's ask the Spellmans"
Something told Nick that your father might have known something was happening with you. He was the dark lord after all.
Harvey nodded. "Y-yeah. We really gotta make sure to clothe him before he does what babies do."
Nick nodded. "I'm not changing him when it does happen."
Harvey only glared at him causing Nick to put his hands up in surrender.
Nick didn't want to risk teleporting you in your current state so he held you while Harvey drove over to the mortuary.
Sabrina opens the door. "Hi guys... Harvey called saying you needed my aunties- is that a baby?"
"Long story, 'Brina. Where's your aunts?"
"Auntie Z is at the academy and Aunt Hilda is in the kitchen" She says, still confused.
"Thanks." Harvey and Nick don't wait to be invited in before storming past her and head towards the kitchen.
"Hilda! Please we need your help!"
"What's the matter b-is that a baby?" Hilda asked.
"It's Y/N. He accidentally turned himself into a baby and we don't know what to do. First we need to get him in diapers."
You cooed and giggled squirming a bit in Harvey's grasp.
"That's my half brother? Well at least he's a cute baby" Sabrina says walking into the kitchen.
"Sabrina? go get the extra diapers from upstairs. and Ambrose’s old baby clothes." Hilda delegates. "Now, Mr. Scratch? I assume you have the spellbook?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Should we give him a bath?" Harvey asks. "Or feed him first?"
"Feed him. He'll get dirty THEN you can give him a bath." Hilda said, her maternal figure coming out.
"Alright. Yeah sounds good." Harvey said.
Nick was looking nervous. "Can you-um, not tell his father about this?"
Hilda laughs to herself. "It's the Dark Lord my dears... he may very well already know. But I won't directly tell him, I promise. There's some jars of baby food in the fridge, Harvey. Will you be alright if I borrow Nick to look at a potential reversal for the spell?"
Harvey nods.
With that Hilda took Nick away, but not before Nick gave you a small peck on your forehead. "Don't worry dear you'll be okay."
Then Harvey got to work on feeding you. Pulling the baby food from the fridge and grabbing a small spoon he began feeding you. Harvey would be lying if he said he didn't do the whole 'here comes the airplane' stuff on you and it made both of you laugh.
After a bit and lots of baby food not reaching your mouth later, he finished feeding you. "There. See? Not so bad...but we're definitely going to have to get you cleaned now. You're filthy."
Nick and Hilda came back soon both looking rather calm. "Well there's no reversal for it immediately, but the good news is that the spell SHOULD wear off."
"Good how long?" Harvey asked.
Neither spoke. "We-don't know. But we think maybe a week."
Harvey's eyes widened. "A WEEK!? Our boyfriend's going to be a baby for a week?"
Nick smirked. "Well...you always did say you wanted to be a dad."
"True. But you're helping me!" Harvey points out, handing you to Nick. "Starting with a bath."
"Fine! How hard can it be?" Nick says, following Sabrina upstairs to what is technically Y/N's room.
"You three are more than welcome to stay here in Y/N's room. Probably better in case you dears need advice and in case something happens regarding the spell." Hilda says, patting Harvey on the shoulder.
"Thanks Hilda." Harvey says.
Her and Sabrina leave the three in the room. You google and squirm a bit in Harvey's arms getting the boys to smile.
"He IS rather adorable like this. Let's keep him." Nick jokes which causes Harvey to roll his eyes.
"Let's get him in a bath first."
They take you to the bathroom and because the bathtub is too large, they settle for the sink so they don't drown you. Making sure the water wasn't too hot or cold they gently sat you inside. "Alright. You clean him."
"What?" Nick asked. "Why do I have to clean him?"
"Because I fed him so you clean him...dad." Harvey jokes, sending a smirk to Nick.
"You're lucky I love both of you."
Nick got to work on washing you and as he did, the lights flickered on and off.
"Oh no. That's not good."
With another flicker Lucifer showed up in the bathroom. He looked...not pissed but rather amused. "Mr.Scratch, Mr.Kinkle. I'm looking for my son."
The boys say nothing; the silence broken by you splashing around in the sink.
"Looks like the jig is up Nick..." Harvey says.
"Oh it was up from the moment my dear son cast the spell. I am me after all." Lucifer says, pushing past the boys and picking you up, magically drying you off. "Oh my precious boy... what did you do?"
You only giggle and reach out grabbing onto your dad's face. He breaks into a smile before pestering your face with kisses.
"That's my little boy! Oh how I've missed you like this!"
Nick and Harvey are shocked at what they're seeing. They honestly didn't think the dark lord would be so...caring and loving.
Lucifer brought you into his chest and held onto you there. "I hope you don't mind. I think I'll be sticking around so I can have some bonding time with my baby boy." He gave them both a look telling them he would be staying and there were no objections.
Both boys nodded. "Of course sir." Nick said. Harvey was at a loss of words.
Lucifer laughs at them. "Bet you didn't expect to be raising your boyfriend did you boys?"
"No sir... I can honestly say we weren't" Harvey stiffly answers
"Boys relax. I'm not going to kill you or anything. Y/N would make me regret it. Besides, I should thank you. I've missed him like this so I'm grateful."
Lucifer turns back to you and tickles your tummy, walking off with you. "where's the dark prince?? There he is!!"
"Did our boyfriend get kidnapped?" Nick asks
"Well, technically it was by his dad?" Harvey retorts.
The boys walk back downstairs and sit at the table.
"Oh tea?" Hilda asks. "Wait... where's the little one?"
"With Lucifer" Harvey and Nick reply
Hilda nods continuing on like nothing matters. "Told you. You can't hide anything from him."
At the time the boys were having tea. Your dad had put you in a diaper finally and came carrying you back into your room. Sitting on your bed.
"Aw look at you. That's my special little boy. My little dark prince you."
You only giggle and played with his fingers.
"You know I wasn't sure about your boyfriends but they've been taking care of you so that puts them on my good side...for now."
Then you made a face and your dad knew exactly what happened. It happened many times when you were a baby originally. "Aw, someone needs a diaper change. Normally I would do it, but I think this is another test for your lovers."
“Oh boys!” Lucifer cheers descending the steps.
The boys scramble out of their seats.
“Time for a rite of passage for anyone raising a child: the first diaper change.”
Hilda laughs from the kitchen. “Oh my.”
Both boy's faces go pure white. All blood draining from their face.
"Not it!" both of them said at the same time.
Lucifer laughs. "Oh yes you will. You're his boyfriends and if I have to change him, I'll turn you both into his next diapers. I don't think anyone wants that." He smirks at their frightened faces from hearing that.
“And I’ll be here if you have questions. But it’s all very self explanatory.”
The boys grab the new diaper and wipes and head to the nearby bathroom.
Not a minute later Hilda and Lucifer hear.
“Satan in hell where does it all come from???”
Both adults bust out laughing, bent over as the chaos continues.
Not a couple minutes later they can hear a shower running.
Lucifer stood up. "I better make sure everything went smoothly."
Going into the bathroom, he found all three of you in the shower, Nick and Harvey trying to clean themselves up. The bathroom itself looked like it was safe from any mess though.
Lucifer gained a smirk. "I'm guessing it went a little rough?"
“Just a bit...” Harvey laughs.
“Well honestly you boys did about as well as I expected. Which isn’t a bad thing.”
Nick is under the water after handing you to Lucifer. “... how does one baby poop so much??!”
"He's also the dark prince, so he's expected to excel at everything he does Scratch."
Lucifer smirks as he takes in your boyfriend's naked appearances.
Harvey tries to cover himself up but Nick doesn't even bother.
“Well well. My son has good taste. You boys wash up and rest. I’ll go and play with this bundle of joy.” Lucifer leaves the boys.
“Well we see where Y/N’s personality comes from.” Harvey says.
"Careful what you say Kinkle, you'll never know what the dark lord will do to you."
Lucifer smiled from the other room as he heard that. He loved tormenting his son's lovers.
After a while the boys exited the bathroom dressed to find your dad holding a napping you in his arms.
"Aw, I see your done boys."
Lucifer stood up and handed you over to Harvey.
"I have to take care of something so I must leave him in your care for just a bit. Take care of my son or I'll make you suffer."
Both boys nodded and Lucifer was off.
"He's so cute."
"Yeah he is." Nick said, pressing a kiss to Harvey's cheek. "We'll make great dads."
"Bet it'll be better when he's also a dad with us."
...
The week passed rather quickly after that Lucifer returned and made sure to stay the entire time. The boys got used to feeding and changing you when need be while your dad just oggled after you, loving the time with his baby boy. At one point Harvey must have said something to tick off your dad and ended up being turned into your teddy bear for a day, Nick had to beg for him to be turned back but the entire time you just snuggled with the bear.
Eventually the week came to an end. Nick was carrying you to the sink to give you a bath when suddenly you started growing at an alarming rate and ended up your regular age wearing a diaper. You smiled at Nick and peppered a kiss. "Thanks for changing my diapers babe." You joked at him. "Yeah. Wait- you remember everything!?"
"Oh yeah I had my regular mind the entire time. I remember every single bit that happened. Including my dad cooing over me and Harvey being a teddy bear."
Nick huffed. "Unbelievable."
Lucifer and Harvey entered the bathroom, Harvey running to hug his boyfriend while your father rolled his eyes. "I'm guessing baby time is over."
You laughed. "It's alright dad. We can always turn YOU into a baby and see how you like it."
Your father seemed to be considering it too and you laughed before turning back to your boyfriends.
“I love you both so much! And if we ever become dads? We’re gonna rock!!”
The boys nod and kiss you.
“Well glad that you’re back to normal my boy. I shall be off.” Lucifer says, giving you a hug. “Mr. Scratch? Mr.Kinkle? Good job.”
And just like that, Lucifer was gone. You changed into normal clothes and laid in bed with your boyfriends, who passed out as soon as they hit the bed.
The next day you all woke up to the sound of a huff.
Sitting up you saw a rather familiar looking baby on your bed.
"Oh my Satan. Dad this wasn't an invitation for us to watch you!"
Nick and Harvey noped out of there so fast. "Nope, not again! You're watching him this time."

Let him go, pt.2
Summary: When Nick decided to keep Y/N out of the loop regarding Lucifer Morningstar, he never imagined one of his worst fears would come to life - to lose her.
Warnings: ANGST
Word count: 2.2k
Part 1
“I can go in there.” I spoke up, annoyed sitting on the sidelines and being kept out of the loop. If Nick had anything to do with it, I’d have ended up either dead or in the church with the rest of them. I was lucky not to be at the Academy when the hunters came, even luckier I had found a pastime with a riveting Summoning and Bounding literature masterpieces.
“No. Not gonna happen.” Nick waved me off, not bothering to spare me a glance and I scoff.
“Why not?” Harvey raised an eyebrow, eyeing me with interest. He definitely had questions.
“Yeah…Why not?” Folding my arms across my chest, I tilt my head to the right ever so slightly with the faintest, coldest smile I could muster.
“Because I don’t want you there.” Nick’s lips press together and I roll my eyes, but Sabrina was faster than me with her reply.
“I’ll go. I was baptized with holy water, remember?” She smirked, shrugging my way.
“So was I.” I raise my hand, stating it a bit too bitterly. Jealousy isn’t easy, especially not when it’s between two women who greatly respect each other.
“I am half angel. I reckon I have a good chance to stop them.” Yet my mouth keeps moving as if I want to say YOU’RE NOT THAT SPECIAL SPELLMAN, but I don’t say it. I don’t, but I can sense someone’s in my mind, probing for answers. Usually I’d assume it’s the Weird sisters, but this is Ambrose. I just know it.
“NO. They despise nephillims more than witches!” Nick raises his voice, turning to me with a hostile look in his usually loving eyes. The hostility doesn’t come from anger or hate, it’s not animosity, rather worry. It’s fear. “I will.” Sabrina repeats with a sigh, glancing between Nick and me. His eyes remain on me, lips pursing as the eye contact breaks and I finally feel like I can breathe. “You’re not seriously gonna let her go alone, are you? It’s a suicide mission.” Harvey’s eyes wander to me, pleading. He wants me to go, especially after he heard of my roots – a half witch is usually less than impressive, but a half angel with witch blood is unseen. Well…until I appeared. “You don’t seriously think I tell her what to do, do you?” Nick smirks, shrugging it off. He watched them leave, his back turned to me and I felt uncomfortable for the first time since I’ve met him. Nick had let his girlfriend go, yet asked me to stay.
“I couldn’t…I can’t risk you. You’re all I have in this wretched life and if something happened to you, I don’t think I’d survive it.”
His words aimed for my heart and I flinch with the sheer intensity of the truth hidden within each, emotional syllable. It was the first time he had made me feel as if I matter since Sabrina came along. I felt loved. I felt needed.
It didn’t last.
A week later he and I parted ways.
Nick stayed true to his word, giving me space to breathe and he had his hands full with the new Sabrina and her wish to convert the coven into a church per her father’s view. She wanted to make a difference and while I agreed with some of the teaching, I didn’t fall prey to her charm. Something didn’t feel right and while I was expertly kept out of the loop, I had time to realize how much of my life revolved around Nick.
What little I had left of him felt as if it never existed.
I can’t lie and say he didn’t reach out a few times. It wasn’t a face to face talk, but I did get a few messages on my arm – a little secret we used to have. An enchanted pen to talk in class, when he was away for holidays. It was our way to always stay in contact and from what I’ve learned, he had given our secret away when he made the same pen and gave it to Sabrina. I was no longer our thing. It was just a thing.
“You really should be more careful with your thoughts.” Ambrose Spellman settles beside me, a small smile playing on his lips as if he isn’t here to reprimand me for the distasteful thoughts I’ve had about his cousin.
“Stop peering into my mind and you won’t be as insulted.” I shrug, turning my attention back to the book I’ve been studying. I have always been one of the best students at the Academy. I’d go as far as to claim I’m at the same level as Nick, if not better.
“You do realize Nick is miserable without you.” Ambrose leans on his elbow, smirking once he notices I closed my eyes. “He’s always talking about you. I’m genuinely concerned Sabrina will spell his mouth shut.” He chuckles, looking around as if to make sure we’re alone. “I mean, there’s an apocalypse happening and in an hour, yet he’s still only interested in threatening everyone not to tell you a single word about it.”
Snapping the book shut, I sit up straighter and turn to Ambrose. “What, in the name of Satan, are you talking about?!” The smallest of smiles appear on my lips, assumptions of it being a well-crafted lie making my heart remain steady. However, the smallest inkling of it being a truth thrashed my usually peaceful mind.
“Sabrina’s father, aka Satan, wants to make her his queen and from what I’ve realized, it is happening tonight and we made plans to trap the dark lord but I have a feeling it might not be as easy.” Ambrose pauses as he notices me pale and I’m sure I’m barely keeping a straight face at this point. “Everyone’s in it, but you. Even the mortals.” Ambrose leans back, having set the bait and he knows this will be the reason why I engage.
“We’ll be waiting. You might want to pop in for the coronation.” Ambrose raised both hands in mock surrender as if he didn’t just drop a major bomb my way. He made his way out of the library while I grabbed my bag and frantically searched for the pen.
CORONATION?!
No response.
NICK!!
No response. I know he sees it. I know he feels it. But if he knew me, he knew it would only provoke me. Just because we lost each other doesn’t mean I don’t love him – as a friend, as a woman. I need him, even if he doesn’t really need me back. He may think he does, but he doesn’t.
I am the one who needs his whispers and smiles. I’m the one who needs promises sweet as the touch of his hand. I was a slow dying flower, turning sour and untouchable when he found me. He saved me. And ever since then I’ve needed the darkness, the sweetness and even now I need the sadness and weakness coming from loving him. I need his voice to lull me to sleep, his fingers running through my hair, the tender touches that brought me peace.
I need him. It was dark enough, he saw me, he had me – he just didn’t want me. He made his choice and I know what that choice brings. He’ll do anything for Sabrina. It’s who he is, how he always wanted to love and he will risk everything.
At the end of the day, I’m the one who has nothing left to lose. He has everything to live for. I love him enough to let him go…to protect him while I do it.
With a snap of my fingers, a long, blood red dress wraps around my body. The lace weaves around my arms into long sleeves, the silk falling down to my feet. A slight chill runs down my spine as wind dances along my uncovered back and I smile – the dress is perfect. With a sigh, a spell the only earthly possession I care about onto my neck, the pendant with his initials resting just above my low-cut decollete.
“So you always have me close to you.” Nick smiles widely and my heart stops. He’s so beautiful. I wonder if he knows that he’s more than just a body though. He’s beautiful, inside and out. And he’s gifting me jewelry, something I’ve never had. How did he know?
Struggling to keep my tears in, I smile, looking down on the half a heart pendant. “I love it.”
I love you. I wanted to tell him. I did. I wanted him to know and to hell with it, but I couldn’t. To be so brave, to tell him what weighs on me is to risk losing him. He’d be uncomfortable around me if he didn’t feel it and I couldn’t lose him. Not now. Not ever.
Instead of waiting for an invite, I followed the screams.
“Lanuae Magicae.”
Transporting myself into the ballroom wasn’t the plan, but I had to hurry. And I was right to.
“Well played, Spellman.” I hear Nick’s voice, instinctively looking for him and it seems as if he had felt me too as he turns to me, our eyes meeting. The surprise passing his features made my lips twitch, wanting to smile. It’s inevitable – Nick always makes me smile. But our reunion is cut short, the prison they tried to hold Satan in falling apart and I step back, looking to Nick in a panic, but he’s looking at her. He always is. “You try and try to defeat me. I am the Great Satan that no prison may contain!” Ignoring how handsome Lucifer is, I close my eyes and swallow thickly. Opening them again, I look at him and every time I look at him I know. I know he’s never going to be mine. But I can make sure he has his happy ending. “I can’t restrain him for long.” Sabrina warns and I take a step closer while Nick speaks. I always believed he’d be back to me – that we’d become more in time and we’d work out. We’d be the couple everyone envies – the power couple. I always wondered how he looks at me with so much love and tenderness but holds not romantic feelings. “There’s nothing stronger than an Acheron.” Nick exclaims, panic written on his face, fear rising in his eyes and clouding his judgment.
“Incorrect, Mr. Scratch. The mightiest prison is the first one, created by the False God. The human body. Flesh and bone. The strongest and most sacred bindings in nature.” Lilith explains, her own fear evident as she looks to Lucifer who was ready to kill everyone in the room. “It has to be me.” Sabrina says and I hear him scream “No” as he used to do for me. He doesn’t want to lose her. He can’t. He’d do anything for her and I’d do anything for him. “I’m the best binder and conjuror since Edward Spellman. If anyone can keep Him trapped, it’s me.” He exclaims, but I shake my head and look back at him only to see anything but certainty in his eyes. He feels like he must do it.
“No.” I step forth, determined – more than he is. “I am the best binder and conjuror.” Smiling, truthfully, I speak before he can interrupt me. “You love her. I love you. This is a testament to how much. Don’t forget me.” I plead, keeping my eyes on him as his lips quiver and shock paralyzes him. “Carne teneantur tenere tenebrasque.” I begin without so much as blinking. I don’t want to miss a single moment of the last time I will ever see him. Nick is trashing against someone. They’re holding him back. He’s muttering something and I can’t understand what, my focus must remain untouched. “Palatium, carcere…” And my mind darkens.
Gasping, I find myself on the sidelines, my body no longer mine to control as I leap toward Sabrina only for my eyes to close with Ambrose’s spell. “A sleeping spell. Well done.”
I think to myself, keeping an ear out to the outside. I can hear them, but it’s distant.
“You’ve made a big mistake, little nephillim.” Lucifer appears and I roll my eyes at him.
“Shh.” I point up, telling him to listen which only insults him.
“HOW DARE YOU TELL ME TO SHUT UP?!”
“Gah, you’re annoying.” I groan, casting a spell to bind him but it doesn’t work.
“Really thought you’re in control? Think again, little one!”
“Shit!”
What I didn’t know is how they decided my fate after I’ve fallen. “What happens now?” Sabrina asks, watching Nick crying over Y/N’s body, calling for her, muttering spells like it would make a difference. “You won’t like it, I’m afraid.” Lilith frowns, a sincere look of compassion in the borrowed eyes of Mary Wardwell.
“You’re not touching her!” Nick growls, his eyes focusing on her pale face and dark red lips – his favorite lipstick from the past times she’d asked for his opinion. He always chooses maroon. He won’t be able to again.
“She’s not going to Hell with you. I will make an impenetrable room at the Academy.” Nick promised, his heart aching and breaking at the sight of his necklace resting on her chest. She wore it – even now.
“I’m afraid you don’t have a choice.” And that’s when Nick fell asleep too.

The Final Witch’s Quarry (Prologue)
Chapter: The Foretellings of sinners
Pairing: Prince Caliban x Reader
Summary: A prophecy of Earth’s final witch will lead Sabrina and Ambrose to the only person who could help them stop Caliban.
Notes: so this is just a fun little fic I wanted to try out, but I’ll also be doing requests on the side. If you want a quick one shot to read, don’t be afraid to ask. Let me know if you liked this! Just to be clear the character is fairly young maybe around 20. The final witch does not mean the last witch ever created. She just the final powerful witch. Just putting that out there.
Part 1
The pure disdain Sabrina began to feel stemmed its way into the deepest crevices of her heart as she began formulating a plan - any plan! This hatred was aimed towards a certain unruly, narcissistic, asshole known as Caliban, but it was an even bigger hatred towards herself. Nick volunteered himself to be tortured by the worst evil known to this world to avoid Sabrina’s predestined throne, and there she was accepting it.
Sabrina draped her body over the nearest seat in her bedroom, which so happened to be aimed at a distance in front her full length mirror. Her heart ached at her reflection just as it ached for Nick to be okay. The truth is she had a longing for someone besides Nick. She missed herself. She missed being Sabrina Spellman not Sabrina Morningstar. She recalled the countless times she stared into that mirror as she smiled at the outfit she happened to put together that day. There was an innocence Sabrina had lost since she turned sixteen. It was an innocence she desperately missed. Now, she could feel her heart blacken. She could never admit it to anyone but herself; however, Sabrina adores being Queen of Hell. The power is insatiable, and it makes her hate herself even more.
The sound of Sabrina’s door bursting open made her jump. She gasped at the sudden intrusion but recovered after seeing her darling cousin Ambrose in the doorway. He was puffing breathlessly as he tried to speak.
“Cousin! I-I worked and I- it took me forever, but I can’t believe I- I just.” He panted as he grasped onto the book he was holding.
Sabrina became more and more confused as she tried to make out the utter nonsense seeping out of Ambrose’s mouth. She stood up from her seat and ran up to him as she rubbed his back, trying to appease his wheezing.
“Ambrose,” she lifted his face so he was staring right at her, “what’s the matter with you? What happened?”
He caught his breath, and Sabrina noticed a sparkle in his eye. He had a plan! Her aunties and cousin had learned about Sabrina’s new but tentative occupation as Hell’s new evil overseer, and they had been trying to form a plan on defeating Caliban’s contest for the crown with no luck until now.
“I did some digging.” He pushed past Sabrina, and laid his book on her bed as she followed. “I think I found someone who could save us from all our problems.”
He pointed at a photo within his book that was terrifying as was intriguing. A chilling drawing of a hooded figure with skeletal arms and claws like daggers lay before the young queen. She shuddered but frowned at the words scrawled above the drawing in black scratchy font.
The Final Witch
“Well, that certainly isn’t ominous.” she eyed Ambrose skeptically, but he only chuckled at her cluelessness.
“The final witch is an old prophecy of the most powerful witch to ever be seen-” he was cut off by a very impatient Sabrina.
“Why is that? Is she even more powerful than The dark lord’s daughter?”
He smiled and nodded, “She is the most powerful. Her power is made of heaven and hell.”

Her origins are unknown
“Wake up! Please wake up!”
They say she will have an overwhelming hatred for the dark lord, but no one will know why.
“You promised me they wouldn’t get her!”
“My dear, I make deals not promises,”
I’m sure it isn’t that hard to figure out.
Sabrina shh! Do you want to hear the story or not?
Sorry, sorry!
It’s said that her anger for the dark lord would allow her to communicate with the false god.
“C-can you help me?”
“Hold my hand,”
H-how do we find her?
Did I ever tell you of my trip to New Orleans?
—
You came to Brooklyn with the hope of peace. You found that in your small brownstone shop. It was one of the only places you found true happiness. Normally mornings went by a lot quieter, but a certain two winged weirdo was not letting that happen.
“Come on! Sage, darling, please drop it,” you begged.
Your beautiful owl seemed to mock you as she danced around with the small mouse trapped in her mouth. However, Sage got too distracted with dancing around and she dropped the poor vermin. You frowned as it ran out of your little shop, making two customers almost trip trying to overstep it. Sage let out a low whistle alerting you to be cautious around the new comers. You cleared your throat and walked around the counter hold an assortment of potted plants with a nervous chuckle.
“Sorry about that, we are having a bit of a rodent problem,? You apologized quickly as you eyed Sage.
You saw Sage’s eyes glare at the visitors. She let out another low whistle and flew to the other side of the shop.
Sabrina and Ambrose grimaced at the quaint plant shop. How could the most powerful witch in the world sell plants?
“Ah, yes,” Ambrose began closing in on the young woman, “I am in need of a certain plant. I believe it goes by the name of La Fluer du Mal.”
Your breath hitched at the name, but you showed no other expression that showed you knew exactly what the man was speaking of.
“Um, could you say that in English,” you asked feigning innocence.
“The flower of evil,” Sabrina spoke up, "you know, the only flower that grows in Hell.”
You eyed the girl as she gave an all too sweet smile. It took you a moment, but it clicked. Sage wasn’t warning you of trivial robbers or thieves; she could smell a witch a mile away. Probably another group of amateur witches needing some special ingredient to a little spell, but what spell uses that flower.
“Hell,” you chuckled, “sure should I bring you a vampire while I’m at it?”
You made a move for a small notebook from under the counter and began your daily sketches.
“Look I only sell what you see on the counters. Depending on what you want, I’ll order it in for you. However, unless Hell has an eBay account, you outta try something else.” You say not lifting your eyes off your paper.
The two looked really frustrated with your lack of compliance, but you could tell a plan was brewing in that blonde little head. She stepped closer to you and leaned against the counter you were drawing on. She had a sly smirk as she watched you draw.
“That’s beautiful,” she said as your hand continued sketching out a beautiful owl overlooking a beautiful landscape.
You nodded at the compliment and uttered a quiet ‘thank you’.
“Do you take requests? I’ll pay!” Sabrina asked.
You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose. “Fine, I might as well make some money off of you, but nothing too complicated.” You muttered as you flipped to a different page.
Sabrina nodded excitedly as she reached into Ambrose’s backpack and pulled out a book. She hoped this would work. Quickly she slammed the book down on a certain page. She pointed to the black figure from earlier and smiled. It was upside down, but you recognized that insulting drawing.
“This should be easy enough.”
Your nose flared at the stupid illustration in front of you. They were not here for a fucking flower; they were here for you.
“Sure,” you muttered spinning the book to face you. You began outlining the figure quietly as Sabrina stared expectantly at you.
“This is a prophecy, you know.” You hummed as you pressed the pencil harder against the paper, “There was this witch who struck a deal it seems. She obviously didn’t get what she wanted.”
You paid no mind to the girl’s voice. You knew what she was doing.
“I can’t figure out why she would stupidly make a deal with the devil. Then, she has the nerve to get mad after! Can you believe that! How is it the devil’s fault? I mean she asked and he delivered am I right?”
“Sabrina,” Ambrose warned.
Sabrina knew she was playing with fire, but she needed this girl to cut the crap already.
“I bet people got hurt because of it. You don’t make a deal with the devil and come out unscathed.”
The grip on your pencil was tightening as you tried to keep your cool. She had no idea what happened to you. You felt this Sabrina girl move her face closer to yours as she whispered.
“So, who the fuck did you hurt?”
Your face faltered into a frown as you slammed both your hands on the counter. You smirked at the fear in their eyes as they jumped up. You licked your lips as you released a small sigh.
“It isn’t wise to piss me off. Especially since you have no fucking clue what you are spouting on about.” You tore the drawing out of your notebook and slid it at Sabrina harshly.
“That’ll be twenty bucks please,”
Sabrina mumbles to herself as she dug in her pockets for a twenty. You pushed the notebook under the counter and grabbed a watering can.
“What can I do for you, witches?”
“We need your help,” Ambrose explained.
You rolled your eyes and began tending to the plants around the store as they tailed you.
“Hell is in trouble, and we need you to help us restore the power.” Sabrina butted in.
“Uh uh, I was talking to him. You don’t get to talk.” You waved your hand and put a silencing spell on Sabrina, forcing her lips shut. “You’ve clearly done enough talking for today.”
A muffled scream came from Sabrina as she clamped a hand over her mouth.
“Anyways, why would I ever help Lucifer fix up his turf?” You asked nonchalantly lifting a cute succulent you were trying to revive.
Sabrina pulled the small plant from your hands and locked eyes with you. You watched as your seemingly unbreakable spell slowly dissipated from her lips in shock.
“H-How-“
“I’m Sabrina Morningstar my powers come from my father, who I am told you despise. I need you to help me continue to keep the throne from him and all others like him. Trust me when I say this is bigger than me and you,” she reasoned.
Sabrina watched as red hot anger seeped into your eyes. Your jaw clenched at the realization that Lucifer’s daughter stood right before you.
“Your father took everything from me! I could kill you right now and still receive the revenge I’ve been craving,” you seethed as you got right in her face.
Ambrose pulled Sabrina behind him as he tried to calm the situation. “Please, this situation is worse than your anger,”
You scoffed, “Do you want to bet on that?”
Ambrose winced at the girl’s outburst. “We’ll do anything to help you get your revenge on Lucifer besides hurt Sabrina,”
“You come into my shop, spout utter nonsense, disrespect me and my past, and bring a fucking Morningstar before me then expect me to help you?”
They nodded shyly at your words. You chuckled at their desperation. Your body wanted to tear both of them apart, but your mind was in complete shock when you realized Lucifer no longer held Hell’s throne. His own daughter was ensuring it; this was hysterical.
Take the offer
It was a quick instruction from deep within your mind. If you weren’t constantly paying attention, you would have missed it. It was remarkable! That was not just an order from the dark lord or the false god you were hearing inside your head. You had clear mind links with both, and you knew both of their voices very well. However, the was the first time you received the same command from both.
Take the offer and restore the balance
You pondered their words. They could only hear what you directly told them. Your thoughts were your own.
Oh, you would take this offer. You would take it along with everything Lucifer cares about.
“I’ll help you,”

Laters, Baby: Chapter 10
Read Chapter 9 Here
Word Count: 2598
Pairing: Winchester!Sister x Lucifer
Warnings: fluff, angst, mentions of sex, language
A/N: Chapter 10! Let me know what you think and if you’d like to be tagged!
Later’s, Baby Masterlist
You were pleasantly surprised that, although you had slept in Hell and on the way here, you felt tired almost as soon as your head hit the pillow. You had gotten more sleep in the last 24 hours alone than all three Winchesters combined got in a week. Though, with everything that had happened, could anyone really blame you?
You snuggled deeply into the sheets of the bed and took a deep breath. Flipping over to your other side, you pulled the silk sheets up to your... Silk sheets? You opened your eyes to see red silk sheets in place of the white cotton ones that had been there before. What the hell? you thought to yourself. You were facing the door of the bedroom at Bobby’s house so you hadn’t left, what was going on? You returned to your left side and gasped as you were met with a pair of deep blue eyes.
“I know you said red was cliché, but these are so much more comfortable than the drab that was on here before, aren’t they?”
You furrowed your eyebrows, “Lucifer?”
“In the flesh. Well, sort of.”
“But, how? How’d you find-” you paused and let out a small laugh, “I’m dreaming, aren’t I?”
“‘fraid so doll. I know you’re disappointed you don’t get all this in person but since my annoying little bro carved that warding into all of your ribs, I can’t find you physically. This is the only way we can talk.”
“Talk about what? Are you finally going to tell me what the hell is going on?”
Lucifer sat up against the headboard and you followed suit. He took a deep breath and pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. It may have only been a dream, but it felt so incredibly real to you; you felt his hand touch your face and the chill that went down your spine as a result.
“I suppose it’s only fair that you know as much as I do. This involves you too.” He sighed and rose from the bed, beginning to pace in front of it. “You know, this whole thing is just as weird for me as it is for you. You’re... human. Your whole race is broken, flawed. And for some Dad-forsaken reason, I can’t bring myself to kill you. I’m developing feelings. It’s terrible.”
“Okay this is getting a little insulting...”
“But it’s not terrible, that’s the thing. I like it. I like you. I was there when Father created the soulmate connection for humans. It was beautiful, one of the only things I envied of your kind. It’s incredibly rare, but deep and powerful when it happens.” He moved to sit back beside you on the bed. “Why Father brought you to me, I am unsure, but I am glad he did. I am eager to complete the connection, because I know that once we do we will be incredible together. Powerful.”
“Complete the connection? What do you mean? And powerful? Lucifer I’m so lost right now.”
He caressed your face, “Right now, we are only in the beginning stages of the connection. I miss you, but it’s tolerable. After we complete the connection, we will truly become soulmates. Our souls will intertwine and become one. The mixture of your humanity and my grace as a result will make us extremely powerful, BOTH of us.”
“How do we complete the connection?”
Lucifer smirked, “That’s the fun part. I’ve never had intercourse with a human, but from what I’ve seen it looks extremely enjoyable.”
“Woah, woah, wait. What?? Okay, number one; please don’t call it intercourse. Number two; we complete the connection by having sex? Seriously??”
“Yes, angel. And when we do we will be inseparable. You will receive some of my grace, and I will receive some of your humanity, making us two of the most powerful beings in existence.”
“This...this is insane.” You leaned back and rubbed your temples.
“Trust me, I know. It won’t happen immediately, I’m not a monster.”
“You’re literally the devil.”
“Yes, but like I said, I’m nothing if not one for the classics. All that old school romance stuff looks fun. Plus, it’s a rule of the connection, it cannot be forced in any way.”
You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. For some reason you trusted Lucifer, but knowing those things put you more at ease regardless. You were lost in your own head when Lucifer suddenly stood, “I have to go.”
You stood as well, “Wait what? Why? Lucifer, I have so many questions.”
He walked towards you and brought you into his arms. It was strange; you kept forgetting this was a dream because everything felt so real. You could feel his cool arms around you and how safe you felt in them; you could smell him, although you couldn’t place it, as it was something completely Lucifer. You only knew two things in that moment: how much you missed Lucifer and how much you wanted him to kiss you right now. Both of those things were equally amazing and surprising to you.
“You will wake soon. Come find me out there. Find Castiel, he will tell you the proper way to summon me. Knowing him, he is somewhat supportive of this since it’s Dad’s plan and will help you. The pain of the separation will get worse the longer we’re apart, so try to hurry,” he said with a smirk.
He looked down and cupped your face in both of his hands. You swore your heart stopped; he was going to kiss you. He leaned in slowly and you closed your eyes, waiting for his cool lips to meet yours and...
You woke up abruptly, shooting up into a sitting position with a gasp. You sat forward so suddenly you almost knocked foreheads with Sam who was sitting next to you on the bed. Thankfully he was able to scoot back in time to avoid the collision, but you woke up so abruptly that even Dean and Bobby, who were standing at the foot of the bed, took a step back as well.
You were sitting there breathing heavily for a few seconds before Sam broke the silence, “Y/N, what the hell just happened?”
Turning to look at your twin, you tried to come up with a deflection on the fly, “What do you mean? I took a nap and had a nightmare, not exactly a new occurrence.”
Sam turned to look at the two men at the foot of the bed before turning back to his sister, “Y/N/N we’ve been trying to wake you up for over an hour, nothing’s worked. When we finally gave up you woke up on your own.” He handed you the glass of water he’d placed on the bedside table when he first came upstairs.
“Yeah, so you wanna try the truth this time?” Dean snapped, folding his arms.
After taking a long drink, you dropped your head into your hands; everything that was going on your life was starting to give you a migraine. The last thing you wanted to tell your family was that you spent your time in dreamland with Lucifer. You rubbed at your temples while contemplating on how to explain what had happened, reluctantly deciding on the truth.
You looked to your family and began, “I came up here to lay down and must’ve fallen asleep because when I rolled over, Lucifer was there.”
Dean cursed and ran a hand over his face, but Bobby was confused. “I don’t understand. How exactly did that happen?”
“Angels can enter our subconscious mind while we’re dreaming. Cas has done it to Dean before and Lucifer did it to me soon after he took Nick as a vessel. Y/N, what did he say to you?”
“He explained the soulmate connection; what it takes to complete it and what will happen afterwards.”
“Yeah you complete it and you’re like, officially soulmates. Being separated from you wouldn’t weaken him,” explained Sam.
You looked at Sam and sighed, “That’s part of it.”
Dean walked forward, “Wait, part?? What the hell else is there? Cas only told us about the completing part.”
You looked at your brother incredulously, “Good to know you knew more about this thing that affects me than I did,” you fidgeted with your hands and took a deep breath. Telling your brothers the next part was not going to be easy, you partly expected Dean to actually explode.
“According to Lucifer, we complete the bond by, well, having sex,” you continued, causing everyone in the room to cringe at your statement. “But after that, apparently something happens, something mystical. He said that once the bond is completed, I will receive some of his grace and he’ll receive some of my humanity, causing us to become two of the most powerful beings in all of creation.”
You looked up from your fidgeting hands to see three pairs of wide eyes staring back at you. It wasn’t really surprising; you did just drop a huge bomb in their lap. You were having trouble believing it yourself.
Dean suddenly swiped the books that were on the desk across the room onto the floor. You flinched at the sudden outburst. It wasn’t too surprising though; you knew Dean would be pissed.
“Hey, some of them books are one of a kind boy. I know you ain’t happy but if you ruin one of them books, I’ll put a boot in yer ass.” Bobby moved to pick up some of the books off of the floor, “I was buildin’ up a collection of books on archangels and this is what I got so far. How about instead of getting all hot and bothered, we do some research and try to find out what to do about this?”
Before anyone could move, Dean exploded. He turned to you, looking madder than you had ever seen him. “How are you so calm?? You just dropped that giant bomb on us so nonchalantly. Are you, like, okay with this or something?”
You stood from the bed, “Of course I’m not okay with this Dean! I don’t think any of us are okay with anything that has happened in the past year. But after talking to him, I think that I am Lucifer’s main focus, not the apocalypse. If we become as powerful as he says we will, we can strengthen Nick and he won’t need to take Sam as a vessel!
“And I’m human! Don’t you think maybe loving and being with a human will cause him to maybe not hate us as a species so much? Angels are real, Dean, which means God is real. I know this is a concept that both of us have struggled to come to terms with, but now? I don’t think we have a choice. He apparently made me for Lucifer and I can feel it. It’s not something we can just ignore and hope goes away. Being away from him much longer is going to start to be physically painful. We’re running out of options.”
Dean’s face was stone; he always was hard to read. You couldn’t tell what was running through his mind and you were worried. Bobby and Sam were silent near the door, watching the scene unfold before them. They had learned long ago to not get in between a Dean-Y/N fight; it was how Sam earned his first black eye as a kid.
The stone face was beginning to turn red, “No. No we are not out of options. Our original plan could still work. We can still shove the Devil back in the box!”
“And how do you think that would affect me, huh? I can already feel how being away from him is affecting me. Imagine if we put him back in the cage, what would happen to me? We’re Winchester’s, this is apparently our destiny!”
Dean scoffed, “Destiny?? God can take destiny and shove it right up his ass. You shouldn’t have any part in this, Y/N. I should’ve made you stay at Stanford when Dad went missing. This isn’t your fight; you aren’t even really a Winchester.”
“DEAN!”
You barely heard Sam’s exclamation. Your eyes went wide and your chest tightened as your worst fear became reality right in front of you. Ever since you found out you weren’t really their sister this was your greatest fear, that they’d drop you like yesterday’s newspaper.
The room was silent as they awaited your reaction. A single tear slipped down your face as you finally met Dean’s gaze again.
“Get out,” you said quietly.
You were too calm. It would’ve been better if you had started screaming at him. Bobby started herding Dean towards the door while Sam remained in the corner of the room. Dean had immediately regretted what he’d said as soon as it slipped past his lips. He turned and paused in the doorway, “Y/N/N-”
“I SAID GET OUT!” You grabbed the glass of water from the bedside table and launched it towards your brother. It impacted on the wall near his head, Dean ducking out of the doorway in the nick of time.
You were breathing heavily as the door closed. You walked up and leaned your forehead against it, tears streaming down your face when a hand landed on your shoulder. Spinning around you came face to face with Sam, who you had forgotten was still in the room.
“Please, just go Sam.”
“Dean didn’t mean that, Y/N. He’s just upset and worried. You ARE a Winchester, no matter if John and Mary are your parents or not. Obviously, you were meant to be in our family and as Bobby always says, family don’t end with blood.”
You smiled at your twin who returned it. In that moment you knew what you were going to do about the situation at hand. But you knew you couldn’t without saying something to Sam.
“Sam, you’re the best twin any girl could ever ask for. You’ve been my best friend my whole life and you were there for me through everything. I love you, Sam. So much. But you can’t be there for me through this. I’m sorry.”
“I love you too, Y/N/N. What’s going on? What’re you sorry for?”
“For this.” You opened the door and shoved your brother through, closing and locking it after he was out. To ensure your twin’s six-foot-four frame wouldn’t bust through, you shoved the dresser in front of it as well.
Standing there for a second, you just listened to Sam bang on the door, calling for you and then for Dean and Bobby. You knew you didn’t have much time before the three of them would be able to get the door open.
You closed your eyes and for a minute the room was bathed in silence. When you opened them again, you waited expectantly. Suddenly, there was a whoosh sound and you turned to the figure that had appeared in front of the window.
“Y/N, your brothers are on the other side of that door and very upset. What is happening? Why have you barricaded yourself from them and called me?” Cas squinted his eyes and tilted his head at you, a trait you had always found endearing.
“I need help Cas and I know you’re the only one who will help me.”
“What is it that you need?”
You took a deep breath and took a step towards the angel, “I need you to help me summon Lucifer.”

Too Soon (Part 2)
Dean Winchester x Reader
Warnings: character death, Sad!Dean, season 14 spoilers, it’s also way longer than part 1
Summary: After the readers sudden demise, Dean finds out the truth about what happened to you.
A/n: god I love angst! I have had so much fun writing this!( and crying) and I hope you guys are liking it as much as I am!)
“Okay, alright we don’t know what happened here.” Dean huffed, stalking across the cabin. His eyes fell on the charred body of Nick, but only for a moment before he tore them away again. He couldn’t take this. He needed to know where you were. His best friend was missing and he had no idea what the next course of action was.
A moment later the slam of the heavy wooden door announced Cas’s arrival, making both brothers turn their heads in unison.
“You got anything on Jack?” Sam questioned, the Angel only shaking his head in defeat.
“Did you find anything?”
Sam looked over at Dean, his brothers back turned towards them as he looked out the cracked glass of the window. He clearly wasn't coping well that was for sure.
“There’s a blast site around back- it could have been Nick. He was trying to bring Lucifer back.” Sam tried, his eyes still focused on Dean.
“Yeah but Jack said-“ Cas attempted to step in but the older Winchesters anger was being fueled by fear which just made him lash out even more.
“Who cares what Jack said! I swear- I swear if he did something to her...” Dean sucked in a lungful of air, trying to fill his chest as much as he could. “If she is-“ he couldn’t bring himself to finish the sentence before he was turning around again. Cas and Sam fell silent. Dean was scared and he had every right to be.
The silence between the three was broken by the shrill ring of a phone going off. Sam dove his hands into his jacket pocket, fishing out his cell.
“Who is it?” Deans voice was thickly laced in panic as he spun around, eyes wide as he waited for a response.
“Rowena.”
Sam pressed his thumb against the screen, Rowena's voice cutting through the tense atmosphere in the tiny cabin.
“I did what you asked Samuel. I used scrying magic on the boy, tried to find him. But his energy- it’s too unstable.” Rowena sighed, which only made Deans shoulders tense that much more.
“What about Y/N?” Sam questioned, eyes wandering back to his brother. The other end of the line fell eerily silent, which only made the hunters heart beat quicken.
“Just say it Rowena!”
“. . . I don’t know what happened, or where she is. . . But I can tell you with certainty; Y/N Y/L/N is no longer on this earth.”
Deans eyes closed shut as he took a deep breathe. This was just a nightmare, all he had to do was wake up. He paid no attention to the tears gathering in his brothers eyes or the pained expression on Cas’s features.
This wasn’t real. It wasn’t. It couldn’t be.
The only sound Dean could hear was the loud drum like rhythm of his heart pounding against his ear drums. That’s when all the pain and anger boiled up and he was picking up the nearest chair and smashing it full force into the wall. When it was nothing but a pile of splinters he sank to the floor. Sam’s voice quaked as he forced himself to hold back tears.
“What do we do now?”
Deans eyes had a fierce blaze to them as he zoned out, yet somehow they were still mixed with grief. “What we always do. We fight. To bring her back.” He stood up, walking back to his brother and Cas. “Rowena. She has the book of the damned. She’s resurrected herself more times than we can count.”
Cas was afraid to speak up but at this point he had no other choice.
“How? We don’t even know where Y/N is.”
“Then go to Heaven and find her!” Dean snapped as he turned to the angel, a fire still burning in his eyes. He then turned to Sam before stalking towards the door. “call Rowena. Tell her we’re on our way.”
And with that he was gone.
*. *. *. *.
“We should have known. Goddammit, we should have known!” Dean yelled, dragging calloused hands down his face.
Ever since they stepped back into the bunker it didn’t feel right. Your absence made everything feel colder. Lifeless even. And the truth was that it was making Dean break even more. All your stuff was still here, but you? You were gone.
. . .and you might not be coming back.
“We knew Jack was dangerous. We always knew.” Sam urged, leaning forward in his chair. “Long before he killed Michael. You more than anyone. From the very beginning you knew. But we fell for him, Y/N included, because he had a good heart. A good soul.” Sam paused, watching his brother pace across the floor of the library. “He became our family.”
Sam couldn’t tell, but Dean was fighting hard to hold back tears as he shook his head, his mind to occupied with thoughts of you. He didn't like showing vulnerability around others, even if it was his brother. But the thought of you was making that task difficult.
You and your dorky smile and contagious laugh, and your innate ability to always tell if something was wrong and be able to fix it. He should have told you years ago how he felt, but he had never been in love before, so how the hell was he supposed to act on it? He didn’t have the first clue. You were the only woman to ever make him fall silent. The only woman to ever make him weak in the knees. The only woman to ever completely capture his heart and make him feel emotions he never had before. You were it for him.
And now he was too late.
“You know, Y/N was always talking about you.” Sam started, pulling Dean back to reality. “ Whenever you weren’t around or just weren’t in the room, she would just smile and talk about old memories and how lucky she was to know you.” Deans eyes drifted back to his brother in confusion.
“What?”
“Yeah, but the real kicker was when you would come back. It was easy to see the change in her demeanor. Her eyes would brighten even more, and she would sit a little straighter. Her smile would grow bigger too.” Sam chuckled, leaning back in the chair. “ she was smitten with you. Hell, even Jack could sense the difference.”
Dean let out a huff, leaning back against the table.” I can’t believe I was so blind. I should have said something a long time ago.” Dean paused, turning his attention towards his palms.” I loved her Sam. God, I loved her more than I thought possible.”
“I know Dean.”
*. *. *. *
Another day had passed before either brother heard anything. It was unexpected when Rowena called again, voice distraught and slightly out of breathe. The only thing she needed to say to get the boys moving was that Jack was planning on bringing you back, and whatever he did- would not end good.
The last place Dean wanted to be right now was back at the cabin. The fucking cabin where he found out the horrible, painful truth. But the grief had been pushed to the back of his mind at the moment. All he felt was anger. White hot anger. As they got closer to the cabin the shutter of the engine pulled Deans thoughts.
“What the hell?” He let go of the steering wheel as the impala puttered to a stop. He shared a look with Sam before jumping out of the car.
“Um...Dean?”
“God, now what Sam?” Dean sighed turning around once more. He followed Sam’s gaze towards the sky above. Black storm clouds formed overhead, a deep purple cracking within it.
It was clear that it was definitely not a natural storm.
It had to be Jack. It was the only possibility. And that was all it took to send Dean running through the undergrowth towards the source, Sam following close behind.
As the brothers rounded the corner of the cabin the storm clouds were gone as quickly as they had come, as they came towards the blast sight Sam’s steps faltered.
“Jack?”
The young nephilim turned toward them, a deep look of worry and guilt flashing in his eyes. Dean wasn’t sure yet if he wanted to kill him or not. All he knew was that he was in pain. It was only a second later though when he glimpsed the form behind Jack, and then his heart plummeted. No. No.
“It didn’t work.” Jack breathed, sharing one last look with them before disappearing.
“No. No. No.” Deans voice was urgent as he rushed forwards toward the still figure on the ground. Sinking to the ashy earth he put an arm around your limp body, pulling you to his chest.
“Y/N, y/n.” He pressed a palm to your face, brushing away the hair from your cheeks, hoping, praying that his voice would bring you back. He could feel the burn of tears forming in his eyes as he looked down at you. You looked so peaceful, almost like you were asleep. But you weren’t. Your skin was cold and your chest was still. There was no life in you.
Dean looked down at you with a smile, eyes taking in every inch of your face. You looked happy even in your sleep. The rumble of the impalas engine had a way of putting you to sleep, and this time you had fallen asleep on his shoulder, every once in awhile nestling deeper into his jacket. He wished you could look this happy all the time. That he could be the one to make you happy. Maybe one day. One day.
Dean held back his tears as he pulled you further into his arms, trying desperately to not let the tears to spill over, because he knew that if they did, they wouldn’t stop. Sam knelt down besides him, but he couldn’t bring himself to look away from you. He was afraid that if he did you might disappear and he couldn’t risk that.
“Y/N please. Please.” He mumbled, closing his eyes and pressing his lips against your hairline.
*. *. *.
Dean had built more pyers in his lifetime than he cared to admit, but this one--this one was by far the hardest he had ever had to build. Even with the help of Sam and Cas it felt like he was moving through cement. It was almost too much for him to take.
But the worst part came when he knelt besides your body, willing every muscle in his own to move as he wrapped you gently and carefully in a sheet. He had to stop several time to take a breath. Steady himself in the sea of grief he found himself in. The waters continuously rising.
Sam offered to help carry you to the pyre but Dean insisted on doing it alone, an excuse to just be as close to you as possible before the flames took you from him. His beautiful Y/N, reduce to nothing but ash and smoke. The thoughts made his insides turn.
As the trio stood before pyre, matches in hand, Dean dug into his pocket, pulling out a single photograph. The edges were worn and it had slightly lost it color but that didn’t matter. He had an extra tucked safely away in the impala.
Within the photograph was a smiling portrait of you. Your eyes were wrinkled shut as a bright grin took up your features. It had been windy on the day it was taken, your hair blowing about your face, the sun splitting through it and almost giving it a golden like outline. Your head was tilted slightly down, presumably laughing at something Dean had said. It was a good picture. Probably his favorite of you.
Dean stepped forward, placing the picture on the pyre.
“See you on the other side Sweetheart.”
And with that, the matches where lit and thrown forth, bringing the flames skyward to wrap around your body.
*. *. *. *
It had been two days since they burned your body and Dean hadn't slept a wink. He spent the nights wandering the halls of the bunker, occasionally stopping in front of your bedroom door and pausing. He never went in though, because he knew that if he did it would still seem like you were there. Your bed would still be unmade and your desk would still be full of nick-nacks. Your laundry would still be piled up in a basket in the corner. Even the smallest things made Deans heart sink.
Now the older Winchester sat in the war room, watching as Sam pulled the phone away from his ear, hanging up with Rowena.
“What did she say?”
Sam’s eyes grew sad as he looked over at his brother, who was currently sporting bags under his own eyes and an emotionless expression
“She said what Jack brought back was um- was just a husk. Incapable of holding life were her exact words.”
Deans stomach turned again as his nails gripped into the arms of the chair.
Incapable of holding life
That should have never been a way of describing you. Not his Y/N who was always filled with life and laughter even on the darker days. You were always moving. Always thriving. You used to dance around the bunker in your pajamas and sing terribly off key to Boston. That was you. You weren’t a husk.
Incapable of holding life
“I’m gonna go out on a beer run.” Dean stated quickly. Pushing himself up from his chair The hunter quietly slid on his jacket and made his way up the stairs before anyone could stop him, disappearing into the dark.
If anyone had followed him, he knew that they would be able to tell he had been lying. He didn’t move toward the impala. Instead he trekked his way through the trees surrounding the bunker. He didn’t make it far before sinking down to sit on an old fallen tree.
It was there, in the dark and in the cold December air that Dean Winchester let himself break. He sucked in a breath through his teeth before letting the sobs come. Tears flowed hot and steady down his face as his shoulders shook violently.
Dean could take a lot of things, but this? This was something that he had never felt before. There was no point in praying. Chuck was gone. The angels might as well be. For the first time in a very long time, Dean Winchester felt well and truly alone.
Time melted away as he sat there, letting the tears flow freely and the sobs grow louder. Grief sunk it’s hooks deep into him, and it did not let go.

Part 2 Episode 3 Thoughts (5/5)
When Sabrina and Nick are sealing the doors and banishing his familiar, and Lilith appears behind them and says ‘Ms Spellman. Mr Scratch, I presume. May I see you in my office?’, it’s one of the moments, like in the sports hall, where she looks genuinely like the teacher. Like when she first took on the role of Ms Wardwell, she was so fake, she looked so unnatural in the role, in the office, it was clear she was trying to blend and failing miserably and didn’t know what the hell to do to be a mortal school teacher. But by this point, she’s been there several months and you can just tell. She acts so natural in the role, she is the Principal here. Even the way she has come over to the two of them, and you can see the other students watching, she looks like a teacher who is being the dance chaperone and has followed two students making trouble in the halls. Despite resenting being made to stay in this role, she’s excelling at it.
Also the fact that there are students behind her looking on, you get the vibe Sabrina and Nick’s whole chaotic moment with the werewolf has been noticed, and that is entirely the reason Lilith has left the dance. She’s actually legitmately doing the job of limiting witch damage control, and both Nick and Sabrina look so sheepish at being caught. This whole scene is such a small moment but I love it. Especially Lilith’s polite teacher smile at the end that says there’s no option to refuse; they have to got to her office.
Then we cut to her office and Nick pacing and ranting, but the whole camera angle and the way Lilith is stood behind the giant leather chair behind her giant desk, gives all foreshadowing for the fact she will become Queen. She looks like a woman stood at her throne while her subjects speak. I do love a bit of cinematographic foreshadowing.
The way Lilith is subtly nodding at Nick’s whole retelling, and there’s a lot of eye flickers to the side as if she’s thinking about something, I think could imply that the cougar story she tells is true, even if the whole ‘my former high priest’ isn’t. I genuinely feel Lilith has seen something that makes her think Nick’s story is not a surprise or even unique. Or possibly it’s her previous experience with Stolas that she’s thinking of; his constant prodding at her, making her doubt herself, questioning things...either way, Lilith definitely has experiences, either personally or by association, that made Nick’s story unsurprising for her. Which makes me wonder; familiars are meant to be loyal entirely to their witch, but Nick’s familiar goes against his wishes, and Stolas fully betrays Lilith, so how loyal are really. Is the reason Sabrina has such a bond with Salem because her calling for him was about equals; they’re meant to be loyal to each other. It’s not a one way street.
Also the way Nick tells the story to Lilith too, the way he leans forward, speaking directly to her, he clearly trusts her just as Sabrina does. Whether Lilith likes it or not, whether she realises it or not, the woman clearly gives off a mentor vibe that means all these young folk keep running to her, even the mortal ones.
But back to the cougar story, and my belief that it’s a genuine story Lilith is telling and not a fabrication. The way she adds ‘a cougar’ as an after-thought, it’s too certain, too well-remembered. It’s not like she’s said ‘oh someone had a wolf familiar’ or, ‘I remember someone having a girlfriend and their familiar didn’t like it’, she hasn’t just plucked things out of the air (such as she did when she was explaining to Sabrina why she’d been spying on her in the Exorcism episode). This is more confident, sure, no back-pedalling. I fully believe the cougar thing happened to someone Lilith knew....but who? Perhaps he was genuinely a High Priest, even if not her High Priest as she claims? Or maybe a warlock she knew centuries ago? I just feel this is a hint that Lilith has known other people intimately besides the Dark Lord and before her time in Greendale, but yet again they were lost to her. Maybe the friend was the High Priest’s wife? Or was Lilith the one who set the wheels in motion for it to happen? Because she doesn’t exactly speak with upset about it. Was this another task the Dark Lord set her? Or was it something she did for her own reasons?
I mean she says the familiar was infected in such a way that there’s an emphasis on the word ‘infected’ that makes me suspicious about the cause behind this story, like maybe there was some outer influence. I mean if you can make a love spell you can make a jealousy one....but alas, this is another one of those instances where we get hint of backstory but never learn anymore.
But when she says ‘rabid with jealousy’ she looks at Sabrina, which reminds us that Lilith does feel jealously towards Sabrina currently, because the Dark Lord wants her to be his Herald. At the end of the previous episode, Lilith literally says ‘I’ll be damned, Stolas, before I let Sabrina become his herald’, so there is a strong jealousy vibe at the moment. Which makes me think when she says ‘You have to put that bitch down’, that Lilith might be thinking about a certain half-witch and her own situation, as we know attacking and killing Sabrina does become an active plan for Lilith briefly in the near future. It’s definitely an oddly vicious thing to say if she was only thinking of Nick and his familiar....
And then we get a totally different, calm, relaxed vibe when she’s back at the cottage with Adam 2.0. We pan through the flames, reminding us of Lilith’s hellish origins even as we see her in this domestic moment. Now in the last episode, Lilith was made to kneel before the Dark Lord and clean his feet, and here someone is doing that for her; Adam 2.0 is massaging her feet, he’s on the floor while she’s in the chair. In this dynamic she isn’t being forced to serve and to kneel, but being pampered and allowed to have the literal higher position.
“I must admit I never imagined the evening playing out like this”
Lilith literally started her time with Adam 2.0 with planning to kill him and get rid of him quickly and within the space of a few hours, that has totally flipped. Like we have had a total 180 here already, which goes to show, as MG said, Lilith has no defence for kindness and understanding which is all he has shown her in the short time she’s known him.
However when he asks how she originally saw it ending and she says ‘would you believe me if I said in a mass murder?’, Adam doesn’t laugh like ‘haha yeah right, what a lark, Mary’, he looks up, he tenses, so much so that he squeezes her foot, hurting it. I find this an odd reaction. Why would he react so seriously to ‘Mary’ joking about a mass murder? Is he that much of a goody-goody that even joking about murder makes him tense? Or is it something more than that? Is there more to Mary than meets the eye (I always say it was odd and not safe/professional/etc for her to put off calling the doctor for the girl/Lilith until the morning and taking her back to her cottage. And when Lilith starts speaking with a demonic voice, Mary doesn’t look confused, she looks like ‘oh shit’ and backs away calmly...so I don’t know?)? Or is there more to Adam than meets the eye? I don’t know; it’s one of the two, I feel.
“A girl could get used to this”
Lilith genuinely means this, she’s even looking at Adam fondly. I think she’s remembering not only what she had asked for from the original Adam, but how it was in the beginning with Lucifer. She’s remembering a gentler, nicer time. A more affectionate time. Before blood and betrayals and abuse. And remember, a part of her is still that girl created in the Garden, that never goes away, no more than Sabrina’s mortal heritage will never go away now that she’s signed the Book, and that part is tempted into this calm normalcy. And it’s the first true respect and affection she’s experienced in millennia.
She watches Adam intensely as he kisses her feet, and you just know she’s thinking of the reverse, of when she was washing the Dark Lord’s feet, and how that was demanded of her, to humble her. And here Adam is pampering her feet as a way to show his love and affection. It’s the first time ever she’s been receiving and she can’t turn her eyes away. And when he says ‘the Goddess you are’, she really doesn’t take her eyes off him. She’s drawn in, fascinated, and the thought of anyone calling her a Goddess appeals to her so much--
And that’s precisely when Stolas cuts in. He can see what’s happening. He can see the affect the foot massage, the Goddess treatment, is having, that it has the potential to make Lilith question things, remember her own power and question the Dark Lord, and Stolas is the Dark Lord’s lackey and spy...so he breaks the moment.
“I don’t think your bird likes me”
I love that Adam tunes into that easily. It’s what made me wonder if Adam was something more than mere mortal, that he knew more of what was really going on, but as far as we know or have seen in the series so far, he was just a plain, old mortal, who apparently knows when animals don’t like him.
“You never mind Stolas. You just keep doing what you’re doing”
But Lilith ignores her familiar, ignores whatever he said, dismisses Adam’s concerns and returns the focus on her, on the two of them, and as she watches him, you can just see how much this simple act is making Lilith rethink things, considering her position, especially in relation to the Dark Lord as it would be all too easy and tempting for her to start drawing parallels. I think this is the first glimpse of Lilith shifting her perspective a little.

Marco Ilso- You’ve got my heart
This was requested by lovely @recklesslonelyblond. She’s a fantastic girl with even better ideas. If you like Lucifer (Tom Ellies) she’s writting about it. Take a look!
I’ve tried to make it as similar to your request as I could, but it was a little too long! Anyway, I’ve enjoyed writting this a lot, and I’m pretty happy with the result (it’s the longest I’ve every written!). I hope you like it!
Plot: Marco is your best friend, your neighbour and your crush. One night at your house changes everything for the best; but you’ve taken different paths and life might never reunite you again.
Warning: mid-smut, and SO MUCH FLUFF, maybe a tiny bit of angst but, if you read me usually, it’s nothing (i’ve done much worse than this)
For the fourth time that afternoon, your pencil broke; and you had to gather all your patience to avoid shouting to hell and back. With a deep breath, you started your essay again; why should we choose you to get in our university. It was a stupid draft, and you really didn’t want to do it; because the only thing you could say about yourself was that you liked to chill with your best friend in your sofa and wait in the shadows until he notices your almost invisible advances. Yeah, you were good at that. You had been doing it for the past eighteen years. Besides that, you could stutter to death and blush until you were as red as your blood. Oh, and you knew by heart all the things that Marco liked, too. Something you should probably avoid if you wanted to enter in college.
The annoying ring of your bell made you sigh; it was obvious that no one in your family was going to get it, as they all knew it was the blonde sweet guy looking for you. You got up from your desk and went down the stairs, only to find Marco closing the door already.
- Why did you rang? -you asked, waiting for him in the middle of the stairs. -You have a key.
- I wanted to let you know I’m coming -he smiled, and you swore your knees shook. -If I don’t, then your mother might kick my ass.
- That’s not true.
- It is! I’ve scared her a few times. -he said, walking up the stairs.
- Because no one enters in a foreign home at three a.m., Marco!
- Can’t I see my best friend whenever I want? -he placed a swift kiss to your head before heading to your room. -You better have food, I’m dying Y/N.
Marco was everything you weren’t; outgoing while you spent Friday’s night watching a movie. Smart while all you did was get good grades with hard-work. Talkative though you preferred to stay quiet and go unnoticed. So it was a surprise when in high-school you were still friends. It was like a cheesy teen movie, where the popular guy falls in love with the nerd girl; except that this time the popular guy wasn’t an asshole and the nerd girl was the only one falling in love.
- Sometimes, I do wonder, do you have a home? -you said, walking into your room to see Marco laying in your bed. -Do they love you there, Marco?
- I don’t think so, but thanks God I’ve got you bambi. -you scoffed at the nickname; seeing that he was much taller than you, he had started calling you that since he met you.
You had met Marco when you were just six and were starting school. He was two years older than you, but he took upon himself to be your protector. You were neighbours, so he walked you to school every day, took you back and played with you always. And God help anyone who tried to mess with the Ilso’s friends, because that family could for sure make someone life hell. While your families were best friends and had keys of each other’s houses, you and Marco had a special relationship.
- Besides, Nick has all his friends in the living room, and mum is harassing them from the kitchen, like a proper stalker. -he scoffed. -So I thought, why not hide here?
- I was doing things. -you said, sitting in your chair.
- You can just do me, bambi. -he winked at you. It was a joke, but how you wished it wasn’t.
- I don’t think Becca is okay with that. -you replied, thinking about his current girl. -I haven’t seen her in weeks.
- Me neither. She could be in another country for all I care, what a nightmare. -he talked about other of his numerous girls. -What were you doing?
- The essay. -you didn’t say anything else, as he knew what you were talking about.
- Why is taking you so long? It’s not that hard!
- It is when I have to fill five sheets explaining why should they pick me instead of much more prepared people, Marco. -you said.
- There are a lot of things to say about you, Y/N. -he sat in bed. -I could fill you a hundred sheets.
Without any other word, he lifted you with ease from your chair and sat you on his lap. Marco ignored your blushing cheeks and started writing; he hated that you couldn’t see the good things about yourself, and he was more than happy to help you to do it. Neither of you noticed, but if anyone saw you, would have realised that you were more than friends.
- Let’s see, what do you have to talk about? -he asked, with his hand on your tight. – Your personality or academic facts?
- Both of them. -you said. -They want to know what I like and I don’t, and what I’m like too. And about my grades and that shit.
- “Hi, I’m Y/N and I love stalking famous actors on the Internet” -he said with a high-pitched voice.
- That’s not true! -you said laughing. -Come on, Marco. This is serious.
Marco started making a list with things you liked and not; then, he took a new sheet and wrote down good things about yourself, and the only thing you could do was to love more your best friend.
- You’re funny and know how to make anyone’s day better. -he said, writing it down. -Also, you are always smiling and looking for the good things in bad situations.
- I’m pretty negative, Marco. -you said, having found your place with your head in his neck.
- Nah, you’re not. You always make me want to keep going. -he gave you a short wink. -You are responsible and care about everybody.
- Responsible? -you frowned. -I forgot about Ken the other day in Walmart.
- First, my brother was lost. -he laughed.- Second, if it wasn’t for you caring about me, I would probably be in a ditch somewhere right now.
- I’m-
- Intelligent too. -he interrupted, writing. -You know too many historical facts.
- That’s because I spend Friday’s night watching films, Marco. Do you want to write that too?
- There is nothing bad with that. -he shrugged. -Even if I would like for you to come with me to parties, I like you just the way you are bambi.
You smiled sadly; he liked you, but as a friend. He didn’t share those feeling with you, didn’t mean all those words he said. What you didn’t know, was that in his head he was hoping secretly that you would get the hint.
Spending a whole day with Marco was exhausting, but when night arrived you had already finished you essay. Your parents had gone only God know where, and that left you and your best friend alone for the night. Marco loved those nights when it was just the two of you, and secretly, enjoyed them more than Friday’s nights. Sure, they were good, but watching a film with you and eating junk food was much better. That’s what you did; you ordered pizza and put a film that neither of you were watching, too focused on the conversation you were having.
- Have you written your essay? -you asked, changing the subject. You were sitting on the floor, between Marco’s legs as he combed your hair.
- About that. -he let out an awkward laugh. Marco was supposed to start collage two years ago, but he didn’t know what to do until that year. -I’ve meaning to tell you something since I came here today.
- I’m not writing it. -you sighed, knowing that he could ask you and you would do it. -It’s not some homework, Marco, it’s something important.
- I know, Bambi. -he pulled you softly at your hair. -It’s… not about that.
- Then? -you turned around to look at him, and for a few seconds the forgotten film was the only thing you could hear in the living room.
A soft sight left his lips; it hurt him physically to tell you that, and you weren’t making it any easier. Placed between his legs, you were looking at him with such adoration and care that the only thing he wanted to do was to pack you in a box.
- I’m leaving. -if the film would have been any louder, you wouldn’t have heard him; but you did.
- What? -you frowned.
- Yesterday I got the letter from Danish National School of Performing Arts. I’m… I’m in, bambi. -he let out a little laugh. -They want me in.
- When did you applied for that?
- A few months ago.
- And you didn’t think of telling me?
- I didn’t think I would get in, Y/N! -he said. -It’s such an important school.
- Did your family know?
- Of course, wh-
- Am I not important enough for you, Marco?
Before you knew it, you two were deep into an argument; he was trying to make you see that it was not such a big deal, but you thought he should have said something. Because that school was far away from your home, and you knew what happened to friends that were away for too long. You didn’t want that for you two, you wanted a happy life with him.
- That’s why I didn’t tell you, Y/N! -he shouted, running a hand through his messy hair. -You always overreact with things like this. Maybe I should have just left without saying anything.
His words hit you like a truck; could he really leave you like that? And you thought that he had a reason to say goodbye to his parents, to his friends and even to Becca, because they all had a special relationship with him. But for Marco, you were the friendly neighbour. Not his girlfriend, the girl he liked or his family, just his best friend.
- You know the way out, Marco. -you got up, turning the TV off. -I’m going to bed.
- Come on, Y/N. Don’t be like this.
- Just-you know, forget it. -you said.
Marco couldn’t say anything else as you walked up the stairs in silence. Closing the door behind you, you fell into your bed like a dead weight, and hugged your pillow close to you. Maybe you were overreacting, yeah. But Marco was your only friend, your confident and the man you dreamed about. Thinking about him gone wasn’t a possibility until just minutes ago, where he had destroyed every dream you could have. Because who hasn’t imagined themselves with the love of their lives? You knew how you wanted to name your children, what house you wanted and when were you going to marry; with Marco, of course. It seemed that none of your dreams were going to happen.
It was quiet in your home for a while, and you really thought that Marco had left. You had cried too much over him; every time he got a girlfriend, when he asked for advice about how to get the girl he liked… So you just felt numb, with some tears running down your cheeks. If it had been any other person, you would have been scared, because feeling a sudden weight in your bed is disturbing. But you knew by heart Marco’s smell and steps, so you weren’t surprised when he laid in bed with you and pulled you close to him. Your back was against his chest, and one of his legs pulled you closer, so that it seemed that he was englufing you. Still, he didn’t say anything.
- I’m happy for you. -you said, enjoying the silence in your house and his arms around you. -It’s a big opportunity and you’re going to smash it.
- They are all rich boys. -he sighed. -I hope that none of their feet’s stink.
- That’s what you’re worried about? -you let out a little laugh.
- Can you imagine living with someone who has stinky feet? It troubles me to no end.
- Or someone who is a cleaning obsess. -you turned so that your faces were inches apart. -You can’t be such a mess them.
- God, I hope not. -he smiled, touching your nose with his. -I should have said something earlier, I’m sorry bambi. It’s just- Y/N, you’re the most important person in my life, I didn’t want to upset you.
- Marco, it’s your dream. -you blushed, aware of his breath in your lips. -I’m going to support you no matter what.
- I’m going to miss you a lot. -he said, putting a hand behind your head. -Promise me you won’t forget about me.
- This will be our best summer, I promise. -you touched the little scrub on his jaw. -I will call you every day, and I will visit you whenever I can.
- Can I kiss you? -he said in a low whisper, looking down at your lips.
You didn’t know how, but you ended up with your lips just an inch away from him. His soft breath was hitting your mouth, and your noses were touching. You could see his beautiful eyes with just the light of the moon, and his hand behind your neck pulled you just a little closer.
- What? -you asked.
- Let me kiss you, bambi.
Your answer came when you sealed lips with him. You could actually feel him smirking into the kiss, and when you slapped his arm softly he moved so that you were under him. His arms took all of his weight, so that he didn’t crash you, and his lips continued moving against you. It was like that for a while; your lips together as if they were a part of a missing puzzle.
- Wait. -you parted. -Wait, Marco. This is not right.
- W-why? -he seemed truly upset. -It’s- I understand if you don’t see me this way, I-I can-
- No! -you played with his necklace that was hanging between both of you. -You-you go from girl to girl, Marco. I don’t want to lose our friendship because of this.
- I promise I want this as much as you. -he pecked your lips. -And if you let me, I can show you.
Again, your answer came with a kiss. Who knew Marco could kiss like that; it was like dancing in the rain, eating a fantastic meal, seeing the sun for the first time after a rainy week. It was the best thing you ever felt, and then you understood why all women were chasing that man. His kisses were intoxicating, and if it wasn’t for him going down your jaw, you could have been just kissing for ages.
Marco left a soft trail of pecks in your jaw, neck and collarbone, to finally start sucking a little mark in the last one. You moaned, trying not to be loud so that your neighbour didn’t know about your business. One of his hands travelled all over your skin, placing itself in the part of your body exposed by your shirt. Marco led his kisses back to your lips while his hand pushed your shirt away; you only parted ways to let it slide over your head, and, that time, you were the one pulling him closer, pressing your body against his. What started as a small grinding against each other, soon became a full make out session with tongue where he rubbed against your drenched panties.
- Take out your pants, Y/N, please. -he begged; his cock was so hard that he was starting to lose focus.
- I’m trying, get your big body off idiot. -you let out a little laugh, and then moaned when his hand squeezed your nipple through your bra.
- Did you just call me fat? -he stood up and, when he came back, he was naked in all his glory.
- Can you shut up? -you laughed again.
His mouth kept leaving kisses down your body until he arrived to your panties; and after leaving there one too, he took them off. As his breath touched your core, you let the loudest moan ever; and when he pressed his lips against your clit, you swore that it was already being your best summer. Without really knowing it, you caught the blonde’s heart and saved it in your back pocket.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those three months until Marco left were the best of your life; he proved himself as a serious guy. Took you out, planned amazing dates and made you feel the most incredible person in the world. The day he left, you went with him to the airport, and waited until his family had said goodbye to talk to him. You spend nearly fifteen minutes just hugging each other, crying and making promises. Watching him leave hurt more than what you could tell, and you only hoped that he kept his promises.
And he did, at least for the first year. Marco called you every day, did face-timing with you each chance he got, and when there was a free day, he was traveling at insane hours just to see you for a day. Everything was perfect, he was happy and you were more confident with yourself because of that. You were going out more, making more friends and loving what you were studying. He really enjoyed his time there, met amazing people and took part in small plays now and then.
Maybe that was the problem, maybe the problem was his busy schedule. You didn’t fight, never did; but then, you found yourself talking less and less to him. When you did, it was like if nothing had happened, yet you only saw him once a month if you were lucky.
“Sorry bambi, I need to study my lines for tomorrow”
“I wish I could go to see you acting, Marco, but finals start next week”
“Hey Y/N, I will call you later, I’m going out with the boys.”
“Baby, the girls are calling me. Can we talk tomorrow?”
It wasn’t any of your fault, but at the same time both of you were guilty. When you finished your degree in biology, you found yourself with your phone in one hand and a photo of the both of you in the other. It had been nearly a year since you talked to him, and you made the mistake of not calling him for your graduation out of fear; not knowing that, at the same time, he was thinking about calling you to tell you about his role in Vikings. Neither of you made that all, and with that what was left of your relationship died.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dublin was… full. It didn’t matter where you went, everywhere there was too much people. You wanted to eat? Every restaurant was crowded. Just a drink? Have luck finding an empty stool in a pub. You had just moved there, and you had had so many difficulties finding a flat that you nearly gave up your new job. You had been hired in a laboratory to investigate about bacterium; your dream job in a nightmare, what a paradox.
You had been lucky enough to find a little apartment outside the city; maybe it was too far away from your job, but it was quiet and worthy. Your roommate, Sophie, was a total sweetheart who wanted to be a model. She was blonde, tall, with blue eyes, gorgeous and with a perfect face; not to talk about her personality. Funny, outgoing and kind. You had clicked with her as soon as you met her two years ago.
It was your first year out of your university, and you already got a job; so it was Friday night and you were going to celebrate it. You were meeting some friends in a popular pub, with Sophie and her boyfriend; who you hadn’t met yet. She told you that he was bringing some friends over, because he didn’t want to be the only man. Secretly, she was telling you that it was your chance to find a man. But after Marco it felt impossible for you.
After your graduation, you tried to contact him again; he changed his number, stopped following you on Instagram and had become so famous that you couldn’t talk to him. You should have called his family, yet you thought it would be useless. What could you tell them? “Hi, I’m Y/N. I was wondering, can you ask Marco if we are still in a relationship?” The only comfort you got was seeing the first two episodes of his show, yet you couldn’t continue it since it made you cry. So close yet so far.
- Blue or red? -you heard Sophie asking.
- Blue.
- You didn’t even look at it, Y/N! -she scoffed. -Come on, it has been months since I saw Jordan. I need a little help.
- Soph, you’re beautiful. -you smiled, now looking at her. -It doesn’t matter what you wear because everything suits you.
- Aren’t you a sweetheart. -she laughed. -But you weren’t looking, Y/N. What’s the matter? We can stay home, I don’t care.
As a good roommate, she knew how you hated big places and parties. With the years, you had become more outgoing; still, you got nervous and anxious when a big event was coming.
- Are you crazy? -you frowned. -You haven’t seen Jordan for two months, Soph. Don’t be ridiculous.
- I can meet him tomorrow. -she smiled, sitting beside you in the bed. -I won’t make you go if you don’t want to.
- It’s okay, I’m fine. -you looked at her, grateful at her attitude. -Really. And if I want to come home, I will tell you.
- And we will come back and watch The Last Kingdom until the sun comes out.
- With popcorns and cheap ice-cream. -you laughed. -Come on, we’re going late!
You linked arms with her as you closed the door, and you walked towards the pub. Even if it was Friday night, there weren’t a lot of people in the streets; and you picked up some of your friends in your way. There was this annoying girl, Mary, that kept asking Sophie questions about his boyfriend. And you, as the good friend you were, pulled her away.
- Thank God, Y/N. -she sighed, walking a little bit faster. -I’m worried that she might faint when she sees him.
- What’s her deal? Does she know him or something?
- Not face to face, but she has heard about him. As probably everybody here.
- Why? -you frowned. -You didn’t tell me he’s famous.
- He doesn’t like to talk about that, you know. -she looked at you. -Prefers to be known as a normal person. When I told you his name and you didn’t recognise him… I just thought it would be better that way.
- It’s okay, Soph, I understand. -you smiled. -But if he knows important people, you better make him introduce me to someone famous.
- He’s trying to get me a role in his show. -she blushed. -I don’t know, it’s something new.
- What’s –
- Jordan!
You couldn’t finish your question as, when you arrived to the pub, a man was waiting outside reading something in his mobile. He was tall, with brown hair and wide shoulders; as handsome as his girlfriend. They were totally a match made in heaven, you thought. When he heard his girlfriend shout, he looked up and smiled widely. After spinning her a while and kissing her with love, he let her down and said something in her ear.
- Shut up! -she giggled. -Come on, I want you to meet her!
- It’s time, yeah. -Jordan looked for you between your friends. -I need to know who’s my girl with while I’m away.
- You’ve talked to him about me? -you gripped her arm a little too tightly.
- Of course! You’re my best friend here, silly. -she whispered back, just as Jordan’s eyes found you.
- There you are! -you were going to give him your hand, but he surprised you with a hug.
- Oh, hi. -you laughed awkwardly between his arms. -I’m-I’m Y/N.
- I’m Jordan, but you must know that already. -he smiled, but looked at you with a weird stare. -It’s a little random, sorry but- do I know you? You’re so familiar.
- I haven’t show you any pictures yet. -Sophie said. -Don’t tell me you’ve met already!
- Thing is, your face is familiar too. -you smiled. -But that’s probably because you’re an actor.
- You told me she didn’t know, Sophie! -he looked at his girlfriend.
- And she didn’t! But Mar-
Sophie was interrupted by said girl, Mary, who came running into Jordan to ask him for a photo. You waited by Sophie’s side thinking about Jordan. It was unusual for you to mess faces; and if you thought someone was familiar to you it was because you had seen them before. In the back of your brain a little bell was ringing, but you didn’t know why. Yet his face was awfully familiar to you. Soon, nearly all your friends had taken a photo with Jordan, and you headed inside. He told Sophie that he had bought some of his friends too, and you got the feeling that soon both of them would leave to be alone. You couldn’t blame them, you were happy for your roommate, yet you were already thinking of an excuse to leave early. Inside the pub, a lot of people were talking, dancing, drinking and playing pool. Your short height didn’t let you see where you were going, but Jordan signalled towards a pool table in a corner.
- I can’t believe this is so crowded. -you complained.
- It was the only place where fans don’t follow us. -Jordan replied, putting himself behind you and Sophie so that you didn’t get lost. -Young girls usually don’t come here.
- That hard being famous? -you laughed. You liked Jordan; he was nice and easy to talk to.
- Tell me about it. -he smiled. -Since we started in Vikings, it has been crazy.
- Vi-vik-king-gs?
You tried to stop before arriving to the table, because you suddenly understood from where you knew Jordan. He was an actor in Vikings, the show that Marco was playing in. You really tried to stop walking, but Jordan didn’t notice and just pushed you a little forward, making you get out of the crowd and see his friends sitting there. All the girls who were in your group ran towards Alex and Marco, trying to sit as close as they could. Some of them started asking for pictures or tried to start a conversation, but Sophie stayed close to you, looking at your terrified stare with a frown.
- Whats wrong? -she asked, not receiving an answer. -Hey, Y/N. Are you alright? Do you want to go out?
- Soph. -you whispered, looking at her for the first time. -Soph, he’s here.
- Wh-Marco? -her eyes widened at realization; she knew him, just didn’t know that the guy you talked about was him. -Oh my god, Y/N. It’s him. I’ve knew him all along and I didn’t know.
- Soph. -you repeated, not knowing what to do.
- I’m sorry Y/N, if I had-
- Y/N? -Sophie shut up, and both of you kept looking at each other. -Y/N!
Along the years you had imagined your reunion in a lot of ways; he not remembering you, hating you because not calling him. You receiving an invitation to his weeding. What you did not expect was his arms wrapping around you so quickly that you nearly fell down. All of you were frozen for a moment, seeing as the famous actor was hugging a normal girl. Before the first tear could come out of your eye, you moved and hid your face in his shirt, hugging him back.
- I knew it! -you heard Jordan said. -She’s the girl from the photos, I knew I’d seen her before! You see that, Sophie? I’m a genius!
- Shut up, babe. -she sighed, dragging him away.
You could still hear some voices around you, and it took nearly ten minutes for him to let you go; then, you looked up. Marco was a grown adult. His hair was long and pulled in a beautiful bun, his face had some scrub and a little moustache. Also, he was taller and much wider than before. You thought then, that he was really a man.
- I don’t know what to say. -you said truly, a small smile in your lips. -I’ve missed you.
- Me too. -he smiled too. -Hey, Alex? Where is Jordan?
- I don’t know man. -a black-haired guy answered. -He has left with his girl; we all know why.
- I’m going to leave too. -he turned around to take his coat, surprising you all.
- What? Dude, don’t leave me here! -Alex said with wide eyes.
- Georgia’s here too, Alexander and Darren. -he smiled. -You’re not alone!
- You’re the worst, Marco! -you heard him shout as you went away, with Marco’s arm around your shoulders.
He knew that Alex didn’t say that seriously. The guys knew about you; Y/N, the girl who stole his heart and never gave it back. So he understood that Marco was leaving with you. The cold air hit your face when he opened the door for you, but it was welcomed.
- What are you doing? -you frowned.
- Smoking, what do you think I’m doing? -he laughed, but stopped when you took it away. -Hey! They are expensive.
- They are cheap compared to your health. -you said.
- Always taking care of me, bambi. -he smiled, at there was a second of awkward silence. -So what are you doing here?
- I’ve a job here, in a laboratory. I’m living with Sophie, Jordan’s girlfriend. -you said. -It’s my second month in Dublin.
- In a laboratory? That’s good, Y/N! What you always wanted, isn’t it?
- I guess. –“what I’ve always wanted is you”, but you didn’t say it. -And you? How…have you been?
- Good. I’m playing in this show, which it’s becoming quiet famous.
- Quiet famous? I would say world-wide famous. -you laughed softly. -You’re everywhere.
- Have you seen it? -he asked with a glint of hope in his eyes, and you felt the worst person for crushing it.
- I…Not really. -you moved your hands up and down your arms. -I tried, but it was kind of hard. Sorry.
- Kind of hard? -he raised a brow.
- You know, kind of hard. -you scoffed, seeing the mischievous smirk on his face.
- No, I don’t know. -he took your face between his hands; with his back against the wall, he made you come closer until your chests were touching. -What was hard about seeing Vikings, bambi?
- Marco. -you tried to say, as his hands made you pout your lips. -Dun be luk thut.
- Are you saying something? -he laughed. -Because I can’t understand you.
- U’m suing dun be luk thut! -you fought the smile out of your face.
It was like the old times; both of you laughing without a care in the world. If Marco said he didn’t miss you, he would be lying; he thought about you each day, had a photo of you in his wallet and talked about anyone he met about you. Having you between his arms again made his heart swell with love.
- I wanted to call you. -he sighed, moving his arms down your waist. -I promise, I had the phone in my hands so many times. But you were going out more, having fun, and I didn’t want to be the stopping you.
- You’re stupid, Marco. -you smiled.
- Well, I know that. But it wasn’t only my fault!
- What I’m saying, is that you weren’t stopping me. -you put your arms on his chest, and looked up at his eyes. -I didn’t call you because you were living your dream, and having me here would have only pulled you back.
- There is nothing we can do now, bambi. -he smiled, touching your noses; just like the night he kissed you for the first time. -We’re still a couple, aren’t we? Or have some frat guy taken away my girl?
- No one. Is there any Becca in your heart now?
- Just you, Y/N. -he smiled, pulled you on your tip-toes until you were an inch apart. -You’re the only one who have my heart.
As the first night together, you kissed him and felt his smirk growing. It was all like back then; you kissed and made out like a teenagers, you went to your apartment and made love all night long. Except this times, your parents didn’t caught you; it was Jordan and Sophie, who had been doing the same in her room. The only thing that changed was that, this time, you did not only keep his heart, but you also kept the blonde-haired boy. Not for just three months, but for a whole happy life.

Wish I Found You Sooner
Warnings: none? Well, I mean, hurted Gabriel.
Word Count: uhhh, not sure. Maybe 2,000?
Pairings: Kinda rewrote ‘Bring em Back Alive’ but inserted Olivia in there so no pairs. I don’t do user inserts really ;^;
I have a lot of opportunities to daydream at work and think up stories and scenarios. Since I’ve made a character for Supernatural named Olivia, I have a habit of inserting her in episodes. Here be one. Hope you like 🥔
—
Olivia had been out at the time, she needed to attend to her roost. She was caught unaware in the middle of lunch prep by a prayer from Sam, not too uncommon, but the mention of Gabriel being found and not being in the best shape made her drop a dish she was holding. Her breath caught in her throat when she was told he was covered head to toe in wounds, placed a hand over her heart when it was described that his mouth was sewn shut, nearly fell when she learned his grace was siphoned away and he was tortured for what looked like years. She didn’t realize she started to cry and it all came so fast that she didn’t hear the sudden concerned questions or register the fact she was instantly in the bunker.
Her face was blank, eyes wide and tears streaked her cheeks when Dean and Ketch turned in surprise to face her. “Olivia!” Dean said in alarm taking a few steps toward her. “Where,” was all she could choke out amid shallow and tense breaths. Dean stopped in his tracks when he got a good look at the state she was in. “Olivia,” Ketch cautioned, “he’s in no shape to be seen and neither, it seems, are you to see him.”
“Where,” Olivia said again, her words tinged with authority as she moved just her eyes to look at him. Ketch gave a sympathetic look before stepping aside to point down the corridor of rooms. She wasted no time and briskly walked past him toward the newly occupied room.
Sam had just finished snipping and removing the stitches when she came around the corner. Her sudden whimper at the sight caught his attention and he quickly ushered her out the room. He hushed her as she could only whimper on the verge of tears and hyperventilating trying to get past him. “Shh, Olivia. Olivia stop, no. Look at me, look at me!” He shook her wrenching her attention away from the door and onto him. “Not. Now. He’s been through too much for any kind of visitor.” Olivia sighed with a shaky breath, her eyes desperate and tear soaked as she met his gaze. He gave her a pained look before gently coaxing her back down the hall. “C’mon, you can stay here until he’s settled into the idea he’s safe a little. Give it a day, maybe two.”
Olivia finally let herself relax as she fell against Sam sobbing softly into his shoulder as they walked. Sam supported her as they neared the main room and was surprised to see Dean geared up and ready to go. “What are you doing?” He asked assisting an exhausted Olivia to a near by chair. She nearly collapsed into it and rested against the table in front of her, head in her hands, earning a curious glance from Ketch.
“Getting ready to open the portal.” Dean responds matter of factly.
“I’ll get my gear, give me a minute—“
“No,” Dean interrupts. “I’m going alone. I need you here in case I get stuck to keep an eye on things, especially Gabriel.”
“I can do that,” Olivia adds from the table. She still looks worse for wear but has started to compose herself.
“Not a chance,” Ketch objects, “you are an emotional wreck despite the brave face you’re trying to put on right now.”
“You are not going alone, Dean,” Sam protests.
“He’s not, I’ll go with.” Ketch offers.
“What?” Sam asked taken off guard.
“As I’ve said, Asmodeus will be scouring the world for me so, it’s probably best if I’m not on this world.” Olivia looked at him surprised, wrinkling her nose when he winked at her, as Sam began to protest. “It’s going to be dangerous, angels obeying a Homicidal archangel, demons running rampant, are you sure?”
“I’m all for it. Can’t be much worse than being hunted by a prince of hell after all.” Sam prepared another argument when dean cuts him off. “Alright fine,” Dean said surprising both Sam and Olivia. Sam looks at him angrily. “And why not me?”
“Because, Sam, I care if something were to happen to you but don’t care if he survives or not. In fact, I hope he doesn’t. No offense.” Dean glances over and Ketch just shrugs. “Besides,” Dean turns back to face Sam, “I need you to take care of Gabriel and keep the portal open for me.”
“And, really, I can help care for Gabriel,” Olivia insisted. “Even if it’s just sitting in his room to make sure he doesn’t hurt himself.”
Sam sighs and reluctantly agrees gathering the ingredients for the spell. Olivia walked over to observe, her legs still a little shaky, and stood by Ketch as Sam and Dean sync their watches. “You sure you’re alright, love?” Ketch asks looking down at her. She sighs rolling her eyes at the pet name, “Not completely but, yes. I’m getting there.” They stood in awkward quiet for a minute before Olivia pipes up again. “Look, I may not like you very much but, please be careful. Alright?” She looked up at him with sincerity in her eyes causing Ketch to smirk and raise an eyebrow. “Always am, don’t you worry about me.” Olivia smiled a little before turning her attention back to the boys. “Gabriel sure is lucky to have someone like you concerned about his wellbeing,” he commented quietly watching her.
Olivia walked over to the boys as Dean was preparing to leave. “Dean...” he turned to her just in time to catch her in a hug. “Be careful in there.” He chuckled, “You know me. Careful is my middle name.”
“I mean it,” she said looking up at him. “Make sure you come back.” Dean’s features softened as he looked into her soft eyes. “Alright, I’ll come back.” He said with a smirk. “Stop lookin at me like that,” he scolded Sam when he turned to find him smirking amused at the interaction. Shortly after the rift opens and both Dean and Ketch enter leaving Sam with Olivia and Gabriel.
Olivia made her way back over to the table to sit down as Sam settled back into his routine. They weren’t alone long before Castiel returned. When he noticed the state Olivia was in he became concerned. “What’s wrong?” He asked coming to her side.
“Gabriel’s back,” Sam said coming up behind him.
“What? Gabriel is back?”
“He was taken hostage and sold to Asmodeus. He’s been holed up and tortured since we last saw him.”
“He’s in a real bad state,” Olivia added. “Real bad.” Her eyes started to water remembering how he looked. Castiel put a hand on her shoulder and she reached up to hold it while staring off. “Where’s Dean?” He asked observing her. “He opened a portal to the apocalypse world,” Sam explained. “And he went alone?” Cas asked concerned. “No, Ketch went with him,” Olivia said composing herself again. “He volunteered to go with Dean in an effort to get as far away from Asmodeus as possible.”
“Why would he want to do that?” Cass asked perplexed.
“Because he’s the one who rescued Gabriel,” Sam concluded. Cass looked from Sam to Olivia for confirmation who nodded. “I was just as surprised as you are.” Cass sighed. “Now, you said he was in a bad state. How bad is bad?”
“Well,” Sam said scratching the back of his head trying to think of a coherent way to word it. “Come see for your self.” The three of them made their way to his room, Olivia trailing behind very reluctant to see him in that state again. “I was thinking,” Sam said as they walked, “that the grace left over from performing the spell could help him. Maybe even get his powers back.”
“It’s worth a shot,” Cas agreed. The two turned the corner to enter his darkened room and turned on the light to find Gabriel huddled in a corner. Olivia peeked in and her heart became heavy again. ‘Oh Gabriel....’ she thought to herself. She was so lost in thought that she didn’t register any words spoken but was snapped out of her stupor when Gabriel was yanked onto the bed in an attempt to force feed him his grace. “Hey, hey!” She snapped charging into the room to pull them off him. Gabriel broke free and hid in the opposite corner murmuring fearfully before she could intervene. “Are you serious?!” She scolded them. “After all he’s been through he probably associates his grace with pain!”
Sam looked sheepishly at her, “ That....would explain his reaction to us mentioning we needed it.....” Olivia waves her hand exasperatedly with an irritated sigh. “Ok, out. Go. Now, both of you,” she said ushering them out despite their protests. “No more talk of grace or spells and definitly no mention of Asmodeus. Understood?” Sam and Cas look at each other and nod in agreement. Olivia sighs finally calming herself down again. “My nerves are more frayed than I anticipated....”
“We’re sorry,” Sam apologized. “We just, we need his help and don’t have a lot of time—“
“And we figured forcing his grace back in would fix him—“ Cass added hastily.
“I understand why you did it,” Olivia cut in, “but what got me worked up was that you didn’t think thoroughly.” She looked at them both sadly. “He may be an archangel but, even we are not immune to torture. We behave similarly to humans, just after more abuse than you. Torture affects the soul, you should know that better than anyone Sam.” Sam looked down like a child would after having been caught doing something he shouldn’t have. “We may not have souls like humans but what we are behave a lot like a human soul. Case and point, Cas had to agree to Lucifer possessing his vessel just like Nick did, like you had to, Sam.”
They both looked at their feet shamefully before Cas spoke up. “We’re sorry,” he said apologetically. Olivia’s face softened. “It’s not me you should be apologizing to. But he’s not up for much of anything right now.” She turns to look into the room and at Gabriel still in the corner. “I’ll see if I can get him to open up. And I meant it, no talk of grace around him.” They both nod and turn to go. Olivia lingers in the doorway watching Gabriel who didn’t seem to notice her there. After a while, she leaves to go to find some rags and then to the kitchen to fill a large bowel with warm water. Sam observes her actions curiously. “What are you doing?” He asks. “I’m going to see if I can clean him up a bit,” she said carefully lifting the bowl of water. “I’ll let you know if i need anything or if he says something. Alright?” Sam nods and goes back to what he was doing before.
Carefully, Olivia tiptoed back to the room and paused in the doorway nervous about entering. His appearance still caused her pain and she had to fight to keep her hands steady. Taking a deep breath to steady herself she took a few tentative steps inside. “Gabriel?” She said softly. “It’s me, Olivia. I’m here to clean you up a bit.” She slowly made her way over to him and carefully squatted down placing the bowl of water onto the floor. Kneeling before him she just observed him silently for a short while. “Gabriel, may I see your hand?” She reached out a hand toward him as she sat on the floor. He flinched a bit causing her to draw her hand back. “I’m not here to hurt you. Please, I just want to clean you up.” She held her hand a short ways away from him, his eyes sweeping over it. After a minute he reached a shaky hand out and rested it in hers. She smiled and dipped one of the rags into the water and gently started cleaning his hand.
They sat in silence for a while when Olivia decided to start a conversation, even if it was one sided. “So, I heard you met the Winchesters at a university,” she said, “and were masquerading as a janitor and a trickster? Kinda wish I was there to see it.” She smiled, “Bet you had a lot of fun, huh? Faked your death and everything. Then showing up later, trapping both of them in a time loop? You always were good at that, making pocket dimensions and alternate timelines.” She carefully returned his hand and held out hers for his other one, he complied with her silent request after a brief pause so she could continue cleaning him.
“I think you may have gone a little overboard with that one, don’t you? I do think trapping them in that tv program was inventive, though did you really have to open with a porn program?” She though she heard him wheeze slightly at the mention of that trick causing her to roll her eyes a little. “Honestly, I don’t see why you have such an interest in that. You and humans in general. Dean, mostly.” She shook her head trying to get the thoughts out. “Anyway, as it would seem, your illusions have gotten to the point that you can trick even Lucifer. Quite impressive considering how much he taught us all those times before.” She sighed sadly and the memories bubbling up. She released his other hand and rinsed the rag before turning her attention to his face. He had been staring at nothing in particular the whole time. She scooted forward a little repositioning so she could reach better, moving the bowl carefully with her. “Alright, I’m going to clean your face now. Is that alright?” She held her hand near his face waiting for a reaction. When he didn’t move, she carefully and gently moved to touch him making contact with his chin.
He still stared forward avoiding eye contact as his head turned. “Alright, time to get your face all pretty again,” she said with a smile carefully bringing the cleaned rag to his face. After a few gentle strokes he made eye contact with her, instantly recognizing and registering who it was talking to him and snapping him temporarily out of his stupor. He looked like he was about to cry as he started breathing heavily in panic, grabbed the arm that was nearest his reach, and pulled her close to him so he could rest his head on her shoulder. He whimpered as he clung onto her tightly. Olivia froze for a second before cradling his head with the arm he was holding. Resting her head gently on top of his, she stroked his head trying to comfort him. “Gabriel....” she whispered sadly running her fingers through his hair. They sat silently for a while before Olivia quietly prayed to Castiel. “I need your assistance,” she said snuggling closer to Gabriel in an effort to make him feel safe.
Castiel appeared shortly after and stood surprised seeing them sitting the way they were. “I’m going to be preoccupied for a while,” she said glancing over to him. “Could you please take these rags to clean them and change out the water in the bowl?” Castiel nodded carefully walking over. “Of course,” he said picking up the items. “Pray to me again should you require anything else.”
“I will,” she responded before settling back down again leaving Castiel to exit. “Oh, one other thing,” Castiel paused turning to look at her again. “Sam has the number to ‘Heaven on Earth’. Please ask him to call the house and assure them I’m alright and just attending to an emergency.” Castiel nodded and resumed his exit. She resumed stroking Gabriel’s head gingerly, his grip still tight on her arm. “You can hold on as long as you need to, Gabe. I won’t go anywhere, promise.” She felt his grip loosen slightly and his body relax a bit but his grip was still rather tight and his body firmly against hers.
She didn’t know how long they sat like that when she lifted her head to look at him. “Hey,” she said quietly, “did you want to move onto the bed?” He didn’t respond continuing to sit silently holding her. “Gabriel, please come sit on the bed. It’s more comfortable. I’ll sit up there too, don’t worry.” He took a deep breath but otherwise didn’t react. “Come on,” Olivia insisted as she stood helping him to his feet as well. He grunted in a panicked fashion as she shushed and reassured him. “Shhh, don’t worry, we’re just getting on the bed. I’m not leaving, I’m not. I’m sitting with you. Shhh...” He looked up at her terrified she’d leave but waited for her to take off her boots and situate herself before clinging to her again and calming down once more. “See? Much more comfortable.” She said snuggling close to him again and closing her eyes trying to relax.
A short while passed when she started humming a tune. It wasn’t anything in particular but she could feel Gabriel relax a bit more. She smiled continuing to hum for a long while. “Hey, Gabriel, I need to finish tending to your wounds.” She explained softly. “Your low grace makes you vulnerable to infection. Will you be alright if i go get clean water and rags?” Gabriel didn’t move for a minute but eventually nodded quickly. Olivia kissed the top of his forehead and gingerly removed her arm from his grasp. “It won’t take me long, I’ll be right back.”
He still stared off into space but sighed in response. Olivia briskly left the room and made her way to the linen room for supplies. She couldn’t have been gone for more than 15 or 20 minutes before she heard Castiel call for Sam, a strange inflection in his voice. Olivia quickly put the items she found down and headed for Gabriel’s room not quite able to make out what was being said. Castiel was in the middle of reading when Olivia saw all the writing on the walls. She slowly made her way to the bed and sat next to Gabriel who held onto her arm again though not as tight.
“He goes on for quite a while about the porn stars,” Castiel comments getting to one particular section detailing his stint as a fugitive. Olivia rolled her eyes with a groan and Sam insisted Cass skip that part. “At some point in Monte Carlo,” Cass continues, “he was captured and pawned off to Asmodeus, “For years, I knew nothing but endless torture. Asmodeus, once the weakest of Hell's Princes, grew strong by feeding on my grace.’”Olivia found herself running her thumb slowly over the top of one of Gabriel’s hands, which was held softly by hers, as the last part was read. “He must have been somewhere near by when you and Lucifer had a brief stay in the “Suits de Asmodeus”. She squeezed his hand slightly at the revelation. “You were there when.....I was escorted by.......” her breath hitched. “Gabe I’m so sorry, I didn’t....”
“Don’t beat yourself up about it,” Sam tried to console. “I don’t think you would have even been able to sense him. Between him being drained and Asmodeus feeding off it, you probably would have gotten your wires crossed if you tried.” Olivia sighed heavily in response but nodded in reluctant agreement resting her head against Gabriel who still stared at nothing.
“I think I can help him come back,” Castiel offered. “Given he was able to write all this, there is a chance he’s still in there.”
“You really think so?” Sam asked
“No, but I can try.”
“Then I’m going to get my rags and clean water to finish washing his wounds.” Olivia said standing. “Give me something I can do at the very least.” She slowly left the room despite Gabriel’s silent protest of her leaving by gripping her hand.
“She does know she can heal his wounds with a touch right?” Sam quietly asks Castiel.
“I think she’s too distraught to,” Castiel surmised. “She could probably heal his mind too, but given her current state that may be more risky than helpful.”
“Yeah, I guess.”
Olivia slowly made her way back to the linen room trying to distract herself from the sense of guilt she had. Picking up the clean rags she headed for the kitchen to fill the bowl with fresh warm water. Suddenly she stopped in her tracks and nearly dropped her items when she felt a sudden familiar presence. She hurried back to Gabriel’s room to find him lucid and aware. He didn’t seem to take notice right away as he consumed the left over grace and only caught sight of her out the corner of his eye. He looked straight at her with a look of disbelief that quickly gave way to happiness. “Hey...” she said with a smile nearly in tears again. She stumbled over to him wanting to move faster than her now overly clumsy feet could manage.
“Olivia!” He exclaimed as she crashed into him in a hug nearly toppling them both over.
“You’re alright!”
“Yeah, for the most part I am.” He said looking at her. “Miss me?” She chuckled and made a face making Gabriel smile wide. Cas observed the reunion with a smile before directing his attention to Sam who had taken a call from an unknown person. Through the snippets of responses, they all eventually came to the conclusion that it was Asmodeus. “What is it?” Olivia asked already knowing the answer.
“Asmodeus, he wants Gabriel returned to him,” Sam replied. “He’s threatened to destroy the bunker to get him.” Gabriel begins to panic and grips Olivia hard threatening to leave bruises with his fingers. Sam glances at Castiel before moving toward the door. “I’ll check the bunker’s defenses and see what I can do to fortify them.”
“I’ll stay here,” Castiel says looking back at Olivia and Gabriel.
Gabriel looks Olivia in the eye terrified and beginning to hyperventilate. “I’m not letting him take you,” she declared confidently. “No matter what.”
“Olivia you can’t,” began Gabriel in concern.
“I can and I will.”
“I’ve checked everything,” Sam says returning, “but I don’t know if it’s enough or how long it’ll last.” Just as he finished his sentence the lights go out prompting the red alert lights to come on and the sigils to glow bright red. They all cautiously walk the halls making their way to the main room. Olivia kept close to Gabriel fully prepared to kill anyone attempting to take him away. They made it to the library just as some demons came in, Sam and Castiel easily dispatched them while Olivia took up a defensive position holding one of Gabriel’s hands to keep him behind her. Suddenly Sam and Cas were thrown around prompting Olivia and Gabriel to take a few surprised steps back before noticing Asmodeus at the top of the stairs.
“Those little wards of yours,” he says pompously, “are unable to keep a demon of my caliber out.”
Olivia and Gabriel are apprehended and escorted up the stairs as Asmodeus teases. “I’ve missed you Gabriel, and I hope you enjoyed your little outing for which I’m going to have to punish you rather severely I’m afraid.” Olivia’s anger flared and she wrenched her hand free to stand defiantly in Asmodeus’ face. “And who’s this pretty little thing?” Asmodeus asked grabbing Olivia’s chin and lifting to get a look at her face. “You didn’t tell me you had a friend.”
“Don’t.....touch her.....” Gabriel tried defending still securely restrained.
“I’ll kill you,” Olivia hissed. “You let him go and leave us alone. I’ll only warn you once.”
Asmodeus laughed. “Darlin, do you know who I am?”
“As I recall, the runt prince,” Olivia responded freeing her chin.
“I’m not so much a ‘runt’ anymore,” he said seemingly please with himself.
“And I’m no ordinary angel.”
“Oh I know who you are,” He said with a nod now recognizing her. “You’re Lucifer’s girl. Only angel I ever heard trying to get into hell.” He smiled down at her. “I’m looking forward to getting to know you, seeing as we didn’t get much of a chance last time we met.” They both stared at each other briefly before he broke his gaze to look at Cas and Sam. Olivia took the opportunity to jam her palm into his stomach choking the sentence he was about to say. Her hand began to glow, as did his abdomen, before she slowly dragged her hand up. It glowed so bright his insides could be seen through his clothing and he howled in pain as she moved. Once she got to his neck the glow shone out his open mouth allowing a whisp of Gabriel’s grace to be pulled out. She caught it and held it in her hand keeping it away from him so that he couldn’t reabsorb it as he laughed with labored breath.
“Well now, you’ve only managed to take my most recent dose,” he said gripping her behind her head in order to look her in the eye. “I can assure you it bears no consequence nor hindrance to my performance abilities.”
“Your performance is nothing compared to my experience,” Olivia snapped back. She clenched her fist as it and her eyes glowed a blinding white dispatching the two demons restraining Gabriel.
Asmodeus raised an eyebrow rather impressed by the display. “Perhaps you wouldn’t mind showing me a few tricks?”
“Pass...” she spat through gritted teeth.
“That’s too bad....” Asmodeus sent a shock to her skull causing her to cry out in pain. It lasted for a minute before she lost consciousness.
“Olivia!” Gabriel cried out in despair and concern.
Asmodeus looked her up and down almost hungrily. “I like the spirit this one has,” he commented, “I will enjoy breaking her too.” His gaze became pointed at Gabriel as he sneered. “Hold her for me would you?” He dropped her limp self in Gabriel’s arms before turning his attention back to Sam and Cass. “I have a few loose ends to attend to before we can return home.”
Gabriel frantically tried to wake her stroking her cheek and repeatedly calling her name. “Olivia. Olivia please. Please wake up. Wake up.” His attention on her was broken when he heard Sam and Cass cry out in pain as Asmodeus began killing them slowly and painfully. The last few demons tried pulling him up to drag him out when he finally snapped out of his fearful state and overpowered them, carefully laying Olivia on the floor as he stood to confront Asmodeus.
“Gabriel, what do you think you’re doing?” Asmodeus asked turning to look up at him. “I broke you! You’re too weak to fight me!”
Gabriel, in a flash, healed his wounds before displaying his wings. Asmodeus’ face dropped as he was faced with a now healed and enraged Gabriel resorting to throwing a ball of energy at him. Gabriel batted it away with ease glaring down and the prince. “I’m not weak anymore. And by the way,” he said tilting his head, “I always hated that dumbass suit.” He raised his hand setting Asmodeus on fire burning him and his vessel to ash. Once satisfied he turns his attention to Olivia still unconscious by his feet. Bending down he carefully looks her over before picking her up and carrying her down the stairs. “She’s fine,” Castiel says checking her over. “I don’t know how long she’ll be unconscious but she’s fine.”
Shortly after she was placed on a table her eyes fluttered open and she jolted up drawing her archangel blade as her eyes glowed white. Everyone jumped back in alarm at the unexpected awakening. “Whoa, whoa, hey!” Gabriel yelled trying to get her attention. “Olivia wait, it’s alright! It’s just us! It’s me!” It took her a minute but she eventually registered Gabriel talking to her.
“Gabriel...?” She asked as her eyes stopped glowing. “Where is...? But...” she looked at her blade pointed menacingly outward. “Oh, oh my.... I’m sorry!” She quickly put it away and looked around. “Are you guys alright?”
“Yeah, we’re alright,” Sam replied.
Olivia sighed heavily finally relieved bowing her head and resting it on her knee. Gabriel ran a hand over her back making her look over. “Hey ‘Liv, thanks.” She smiled up at him as he rested his forehead on hers. “I’m glad you’re ok,” She said and hugged him tightly. He hugged her back when Sam cleared his throat.
“Look, we need to talk,” Sam begins as both angels look over at him. “We need your help. Jack and our mom are stuck in an apocalypse world and that version of Michael wants to invade and take over with an army. So, will you help us?”
Gabriel sighs looking back at Olivia, seemingly ignoring the question, and places a palm on her cheek running his thumb slowly across it. “Sorry Sam,” he said looking over “not interested. But I have faith you and your brother will find a way like you did during the apocalypse.”
Castiel takes a step toward him. “Gabriel please,” he pleads.
“No, I don’t want any part of this. Not back when the apocalypse was going down and definitely not now.”
“Gabe...” Olivia pleaded softly. He looked solemnly at her. “I’m sorry, ‘Liv. I’m not a fighter. You know that.” He turns to look at Sam and Cas. “Good luck boys.” He says before disappearing. They all stood in silence for a few minutes before Olivia piped up. “Use my grace,” she offered drawing her archangel blade again. “If Gabriel won’t help then I will. Use however much you need.” She held out her hand offering the blade to Sam. “No,” he said refusing. “No, I can’t take your grace.”
“Sam, please. This is the only option we really have right now. Besides, my grace recharges much faster in comparison. It would hardly make an impact.”
“No, look, we’re not doing anything until Dean comes back anyway. We’ll....” Sam scratches the back of his neck. “We’ll consider that as ‘plan b’,” Castiel proposed. “You’re the closest to a full powered Archangel so if we need, you could provide some backup.” Olivia sighed giving a small smile. “Fine, but you better use mine if you’re left with no other option. No trying to weasel out.” She pointed a finger at both of them. Sam chuckled putting his hands up. “Alright, alright. I promise.” Olivia crossed her arms with a smirk before Dean crashed through the portal just before it closed.
“Hey, where’s mom and Jack?” Sam asks approaching. “They’re not with Michael anymore,” Dean explained with a grunt standing up. “Welcome back to you too.” Sam smirked a little with a slight laugh. “Ketch stayed behind with Charlie to try and find them.” Same gives a quizzical look upon hearing the name. “Yeah, they have a Charlie.” Dean looks around to find the bunker in disarray.
“Asmodeus payed a visit,” Castiel explained. “Gabriel killed him.”
“Wait, Gabriel? Then where is he?”
“He left.” Said Sam. “We asked if he would help with Michael and Jack but, he uh....said no.”
“We also used the last of his grace to return his powers,” Castiel reluctantly added.
Dean had been getting more and more frustrated as he paced around silently before tossing papers and books across the room. “Dammit, I should never have come back then!” He yelled. “Every time....” his voice cracked. “Every time we get close it all falls apart......”
“We will find Gabriel again,” Castiel reassured.
“And if we don’t?” Dean snapped. “We don’t have time to wait!”
“If we don’t then you use my grace,” Olivia responded walking over. “I insist.”
“No, no we’re not using your grace.”
“Dean...”
“No! You said yourself you were called a failed archangel. We don’t even know if your grace will work.” Olivia looked at him a little hurt. She understood his reservations though, she couldn’t blame him. She should have been used to it by now given all the disapproving looks she got back in heaven and how often she was moved around. “I was never demoted,” she said quietly, “just labeled failed. I understand your apprehension though. Many angels felt the same I suppose.” Dean sighed realizing how he may have come across. “Olivia I didn’t....”
“No need to apologize Dean,” Olivia said softly. “I understand. You desperately want your mom and Jack back, and this set back is devastating to come back to. You’re angry, and it’s from my experience anger has a tendency to cause people to say things they may not intend to or not in the way they want to.” She sits next to him placing a hand on his shoulder. He looks over, tears welling in his eyes. “I’ll help you find him again, but please, use my grace if we can’t. It won’t hurt to try.” Dean sighs heavy with sadness. “Alright. Alright, we’ll give it a try if we have to. But not until we have to.”
Olivia smiles a little. “Deal.”

A Scene I’d Sell My Soul For
Pairing: Sam x Ruby (you bet your ass) Words: 1,250 Warnings: Canon-typcial violence
Set at the end of season fourteen.
Opens on Team Free Will and allies approaching an abandoned dance hall, where Nick is performing a ritual to open a portal to the Big Empty, allowing Lucifer to re-enter Earth.
The heroes arrive just in time to see Nick, on the stage, use a small obsidian altar to conjure the portal. A fissure of black smoke and electricity swirls above the stage on the opposite side of the large, empty room. Lucifer flows through the portal, merging with Nick, then turns around with an air of menace and importance, unsurprised to see the heroes waiting for him. He moves to the edge of the stage as dozens of minions pour out behind him. The resurrected demons and angels make their way to the sides of the stage and descend the two short staircases to reach the dance floor.
The camera pans across the villains, then cuts to pan across the heroes, briefly lingering over Sam, Dean, Mary, Castiel, Jack, and more as they get ready for what will inevitably be a brutal battle. As the fight is just about to begin, Sam sees Ruby walk out of the portal. He’s frozen for a moment in shock, while the others charge forward to fight the mob of enemies. Sam and Ruby make eye contact across the room. The Chain by Fleetwood Mac starts playing in the background of the scene.
Close up of Ruby drawing a blade as she moves to stand beside Lucifer. In a cool, unreadable voice she tells him, “Sam’s mine.”
Lucifer doesn’t stop surveying the battle. Without looking at her, he nods, then waves his hand directing her to go after Sam. She steps right off the front edge of the stage, dropping to the dance floor with the guile of a predator. The sounds of the fighting fade out as the song overtakes it.
Listen to the wind blow, watch the sun rise Running in the shadows, damn your love, damn your lies
Close-ups of Sam gripping his angel blade and swallowing hard before he steps forward into the fray.
In slow motion, set to the beat of the music, there are ground-level, wide shots alternating between Sam and Ruby as they both moving through the massive fight. Everything around them is chaos, but they have unfinished business. They are barely looking at anyone else. In the background there are flashes of white as charcoal wings are blasted onto the gilded walls. All around them people are colliding. Arterial spray. Flickers of orange light as demons die.
An angel charges at Sam, but he hardly spares a glance as he stabs the attacker, dropping the corpse to the ground without missing a beat. A hunter rushes Ruby, but she just grabs him and, using one hand, throws him aside without a care. They both dodge swings from attackers in nearly mirrored movements. The camera cuts between them as they continue towards each other: both throwing punches, both counterattacking— all the while, watching each other. It’s nearly a dance.
And if, you don't love me now You will never love me again I can still hear you saying You would never break the chain (Never break the chain)
The closer they get, the more bodies they drop without breaking each other’s gaze, the more everyone around them begins to realize that that’s something personal. Lucifer’s troops are giving them space, understanding that Ruby has earned the right to claim her own nemesis.
Dean is visibly stunned to see her. He’s too far away and by the time he shakes himself out of it he’s too busy fighting several enemies. While fending off multiple attacks (all still in slow motion), he yells to Sam, but we can’t hear the words. Mary turns at whatever her eldest son shouted, then looks to Sam. Her eyes drift between him and the strange woman as she realizes that there’s some special relationship/dynamic she doesn’t understand. Close up of Sam in the foreground, not seeing or hearing his family’s reactions in the background.
Listen to the wind blow, down comes the night Running in the shadows, damn your love, damn your lies Break the silence, damn the dark, damn the light
Sam and Ruby finally reach the center of the battlefield, only a few strides apart. There’s a moment of hesitation at what’s about to happen, drawn out in slow motion. They’re almost perfectly still as bodies are literally being thrown and people are dying around them. As they watch each other, from the corner of his eye, Sam can see that his allies are being pushed back. He’s surrounded.
And if, you don't love me now You will never love me again I can still hear you saying You would never break the chain (Never break the chain)
Unable to turn back, Sam takes a step closer to Ruby, who moves forward to meet him. There’s tension in Sam’s face, too many emotions and buried feelings. His eyes are watering slightly, but he’s desperately trying to steel himself in preparation for fighting her.
Ruby looks up at him and her cold, menacing expression softens. “I’m sorry.”
Sam stares at her, expecting for her to lunge at him after apologizing for their looming battle, but she doesn’t. His brow furrows slightly as Ruby raises her blade while giving him a playful, almost sweet impish grin. Before he can say anything, she spins around, putting her back to Sam, taking a defensive stance.
And if you don't love me now You will never love me again I can still hear you saying You would never break the chain (Never break the chain)
Sam’s eyes widen in shock at the move. His mouth opens slightly and closes. He takes a single moment to regain his composure, then turns around, raising his blade. They stand back-to-back, centered in a wide shot as Lucifer’s minions realize what’s happening and begin encircling them.
The music’s tempo starts picking up (3:10 into the song) as the tension builds. The camera pans in a circle around the two of them, as they stand poised, ready to fight for their lives. While panning around them, in the background the ring of enemies moves closer.
As the guitar solo picks up, the fight begins. Not only is it no longer slow motion, it’s a frenzy of quick cuts. Sam and Ruby fighting back-to-back slicing through wave after wave of demons and angels as the rest of the good guys push forward cleaning up the edges.
Chain keep us together (running in the shadow) Chain keep us together (running in the shadow) Chain keep us together (running in the shadow)
As the tide of the battle turns, Lucifer’s pleased expression dwindles. After reading the room, he picks up the obsidian altar that can open the portal to the Big Empty and teleports away.
The music fades out as the last attackers fall. The camera pans out and up to reveal the circle of many bodies surrounding Sam and Ruby. They’re both panting from the effort, covered in minor injuries. They turn around to face each other. In the background Dean, Mary, and Castiel watch, unsure what to do. Castiel grabs Jack’s arm, stopping him from approaching the pair during the tense moment. Sam’s lips quiver for a second as he tries to find the right words, then he takes a breath and opens his mouth.
Cut to black. End of season fourteen.

RE: This post (sort of) because I feel like I derailed the OPs post and I literally don’t know them and I feel awkward posting on it more lol
BTW if y’all are sick of talking to me about this no worries, nobody owes me a reply, I just like talking about the game and I have learned a lot from what other people have to say so here we are.
Fuck this got really long so I’m cutting it but it’s about Elder Maxson. Again. Sort of. And Synths. And I want to preface by saying I’m all about love what characters you want, you do you. I’m not trying to hate on anyone for liking or disliking fictional characters or organizations. But I have a lot of feelings.
So I’ve been thinking about a few things and a few things have been brought to my attention that I haven’t seen brought up before. So the quest for Teagan, with the crops and stuff, I know this is a sticking point and possibly could be disregarded because it’s an optional quest, but if Teagan knew Maxson wouldn’t approve of strong arming settlers for crops, why would he tell *you* to do it? I know you can complete the quest other ways, but looking at his voice lines he’s pretty gung-ho on the strong-arming part. He has zero reason to think you wouldn’t march on up to Maxson and tell him Teagan’s trying to put you up to strong-arming settlers, which would lead me to believe he doesn’t have a problem with Teagan putting you up to strong-arming settlers at all.
Also I just... I don’t know if I can believe that Maxson feels bad for killing or trying to kill Danse (depending on how you choose to do it). Like I *want* to believe he does, but Jesus, he’s just so cruel about the whole thing, even if you convince him to spare Danse. And afterward, when you get promoted to Paladin if you clapback at him when he says all of Danse’s stuff is yours now he says “To the victor go the spoils. Being a part of the Brotherhood, you should learn to appreciate that sentiment.” and he is sinister about it, it literally says in the dialogue direction ‘sinister smile’ I feel like there is A LOT loaded into that sentence, knowing that real, actual armies IRL historically and even now operate like this, especially armies who are allowed to operate at will without or with very little government oversight, their whole agenda is to win, take shit and expand and be more formidable. Maxson and the BoS won’t outright say it ever in the game, but looking at their actions and their sentiment, it seems, to me, like that is kind of part of their agenda. Which, I mean, you could argue is fine because they’d be keeping order and killing super mutants but they’d be running things their way, uncontested. Eventually they’d weed out all the synths and kill them - so bye Danse, bye Curie, bye Nick, don’t forget Magnolia and Sturges also - of course they would kill Strong so bye Strong too. They probably wouldn’t let me keep my cool robot workbench or my badass enormous sentrybots with skull faces and minigun hands because that kind of technology isn’t fit for civilians so I’d guess I have to say bye to Ragnarok and Lilith and Lucifer and Azrael (please do not judge my precious children by their sinister names) and Jezebel and Ada too. Oh, and Synth Shaun. They would definitely kill Synth Shaun too.
The thing I learned today which is part of the reason I’m back on this bullshit besides that thread ☝ is after Blind Betrayal Maxson has Danse’s records in the BoS stripped. I just got done in Fallout 3 doing the beginning of the Brotherhood stuff there and I have to go talk to that wizard-looking scribe lady (god I love their stupid outfits in 3, but I digress) and she makes A REALLY BIG DEAL about how their records are so important, every member has a record of the stuff they’ve done and how they’ve died and that’s their legacy. It’s mean, like vindictive. Like, synth or not, he did all of whatever he did. Aside from that, Maxson has literally altered the historical truth - there’s not even record that says “we accidentally a synth, this is what he did and we killed him because synths are bad” Again, like, thinking about real-world historical examples of people intentionally altering pieces of history to erase people or groups of people or what people have done - the reason behind actions like that have never been good.
And I’ve been thinking a lot about the whole, the people of the Commonwealth are bigots thing a lot. Yes, they are scared of synths because of the wrath The Institute has brought down on the people. They’re also scared of Raiders and Gunners. They’re scared of anything that stands between them and being safe and fed. Like, listen, they understand the difference between a human dude walking up into their settlement and a Raider, I feel like if someone bothered to take a second to explain to them Not All Synths(tm) work for The Institute and a lot of them are actually really nice and might brew you a stimpack or help you solve a noir mystery or take care of your feral infestation down the road they would be receptive to it. They would be especially receptive of it if the person telling them that was the head of the organization keeping them safe and fed >.> Would they be perfectly accepting? Probably not, but they would probably let them live for two seconds without throwing a fit. They would probably not shoot-to-kill on sight. Even the people in Diamond City who talk shit about Nick aren’t out there trying to murder him.
Kind of in that same vein, let’s talk about Desdemona and the Minutemen for a second. Because I feel like, and maybe I’m wrong about the intention, my girl got slandered into making it look like she doesn’t support The Minutemen. If you fail your covert op any number of ways, she literally says you can use them to forcibly liberate the Synths. Hell, if you haven’t met Preston yet, she’ll tell you where he is and to go find him because she thinks The Minutemen can help. She’ll only go off on you if you don’t sound the evacuation alarm. If you destroy The Institute with The Minutemen and you sound the alarm, like Preston tells you on no uncertain terms to do, she’ll call you “The destroyer of the Institute. Liberator of the synths.” and say “My only regret is we couldn't have been there when you did it.“ When you talk with her about the people trying to hurt the Synths that made it out of the destruction of The Institute and she says “ They're vigilantes and bigots. They don't recognize anyone's laws. Not even yours.” I don’t think she’s talking about ALL the people, she’s talking about people who are vigilantes and bigots which, if you do the quests to go rescue the Synths, usually bring you to Raider dens, who aren’t your people and you’re working against anyway. The gangs that hunt Synths that she has you clear out after The Institute is destroyed are Raider gangs. John the Farmer in buttfuck egypt out by the glowing sea isn’t slaughtering Synths, he’s busy with his farm and his water purifier that doesn’t work and Gunners attacking him weekly. When it comes down to it, how many people like John the Farmer are going to bite the hand that feeds them and fixes his water purifier and fucks up the Gunners if that hand is The Minutemen and they say Synths are OK (because they are, generally)?
and RE: danger synths and Acadia and stuff... so I’m trying to unpack the whole, weird Acadia lore that magically allows for DiMA to insert memories that he didn’t have in the first place into synth replacements (e.g. you kill Tektus, stuff his body in a wall, but DiMA can make a “perfect replica” of him with nothing to go on?) I’m assuming when it was said that synths pose a unique danger that humans don’t, this is what was being referenced - that Synths can be messed around with to replace humans in order to manipulate whatever. Putting Acadia aside for juuuuuuust a second - because of the weird magic lore contradiction - there’s a couple of points about this. We see very few people in the game who have the resources, the technology and the know how to actually mess with a Synth’s brain. Even the people supposedly the best at replacing people with “perfect copies”, The Institute, are still kind of shit at it. Every single infiltrator that we see in the game knows what they are and gets called out by someone who figures out what they are. The “perfect copy” idea is hysteria - possibly even propaganda from The Institute itself. The only contradiction to that is what DiMA did in Acadia and honestly, I have no idea how to explain that. That’s all aside from the fact that, technically, in this universe humans have the ability to do the same thing. We know humans can be face changed. Deacon says he was both a girl and a ghoul (the ghoul incident is legit and backed up by terminal entries in the Railroad) and to be either of those from being human dude Deacon, you would have to get a voice change so that has to be a thing, right? Take a human who knows enough about another human, physically turn that human into the other human, and you have someone replaced, no Synths needed. And even Far Harbor, who will, with certain choices, go destroy Acadia don’t destroy them just because they’re synths, they destroy Acadia because Acadia murdered and replaced Avery.
Which brings me to the final thought I had because holy crap I just wrote for like two hours and I’m tired and out of steam now. I keep really, really wanting to like the BoS and Maxson because they have the neat stuff and a lot of their people are cool and my friends like them but I just, like, can’t as long as they’re a faction that advocates for the genocide of Synths. That’s the one sticking point I have. I could maybe even tolerate them hanging around the Commonwealth where they maybe shouldn’t be, I could maybe see them through a nefarious lens than I do if I knew they wouldn’t come to Sanctuary and wipe out a third of my population because of how they were made - if they weren’t trying to kill my friends and my synth son. Honestly, I love a lot of fanon stuff about Maxson and the BoS because it changes that but canon, in the game, that’s what they would do.

Let him go {4}
Summary: A visit from Nick gives her strength to keep fighting.
Warnings: angst, slight fluff, swearing
Part one // Part two // Part three //
Arms wrapped around my knees, I sunk to the darkest corner of this nightmare. The tears stream freely down my face, they never stop anymore. Lips pressed together to hold in sobs of my broken soul, I cradle myself with hopes of waking up from this never-ending nightmare.
"Sunshine?"
His voice draws me out of the unsteady thoughts plaguing me, my eyes finding his silhouette in the darkness.
"Not again", I whisper, a shaky breath passing my lips as he lights a candle, illuminating his handsome smile. But it's not as wide as it once was, it's broken as I am.
"What has he done?" Nick lowers the candle to the ground at my feet, placing a hand on my knees and I jolt. The hallucinations were never this real.
"Wow", I chuckle dryly, looking up. "You really pulled out all the stops for this one, Lucy!" My throat is raw from screaming, dry in desperate need for water.
"It's me." Nick frowns, his left hand cupping my cheek. "Sunshine, it really is."
Forcing myself to make eye contact, my lips quiver as I realize he's calling me Sunshine. None of the Lucifer crafted apparitions had ever called me that.
"I don't feel like Sunshine anymore, Nick." Voice breaking, I lean into the palm of his hand, appreciating his touch even if it's temporary, even if it could disappear any moment now.
"You're always going to be my Sunshine." A small smile adorns his lips and I let out a heavy sigh. His smile is my cure, my favorite part of every day and I missed it. I missed him.
"You always make me smile, remember?" Nick croaks, pulling me closer and for the first time in what feels like forever, I get some reprieve.
This is the hug of gentle arms that still give the space to breathe; and yet it’s the hug of strong arms that tells everything that your are - body, brain and soul - that they are with you. I am awake somehow, more alive than I have been in so very long.
"I'll get you out of here." Whispering, he presses a kiss to my temple, his lips remaining in place long enough for my heart to flutter.
"You can't." I can feel the sweat drench my skin, the throbbing of my own eyes, and the thumping of my heart against my chest. My fingers are curled into a fist, nails digging into my palm. I can't hear my rapid breathing, but I can feel the oxygen flooding in and out of my lungs. “It’s too dangerous. There’s more on line than me, Nick.”
"I can do whatever I damn please and you know that." Nick holds me tighter and the fear dwindles down enough so I giggle, very aware he means it. "It may be selfish, but I need you in my life." If anyone can save me, it’s him and the determination I see in his eyes.
"Don't do anything that would risk him getting out." I look up at him and he's already looking back at me. "Promise me, Nick."
"I can't do that. Not when I got to see you...hold you. There's no force, heaven or hell, that will stop me now."
And whether I was ready or not, Nick was gone again.
His presence felt like a lullaby on the wind. I reach out, only for my fingers to close on the air - he truly isn’t with me anymore.
Nick is softness and laughter. His voice soothes me, takes my pain and makes it manageable. With him, I almost feel I can be a person capable of recovering where before there was only decay inside. He left me stronger, though his disappearance is felt to my very bones. He gave me a promise, words that keep me sane.
"Isn't he my wicked daughter's boyfriend?"
Blinding light makes me squint, using a hand to cover my sensitive eyes.
"I mean, you're going for someone else's man. Maybe you do belong in hell instead of heaven." Lucifer leans against the wall beside me, shrugging. "I'm sure Michael would agree. He's not even here to help you now." Cackling, he kicks the candle Nick brought over.
"Screw you, hooved feet." I speak through gritted teeth.
"Ah, how innovative. You're getting better with these insults and I'm getting better with torturing you! So much fun!" Lucifer's smile dies down, leaning to face me. "You will break eventually. Why not make it easier for yourself and just give me control?"
"Nick will come for me." I smile, wiling away tears. "I will not break."

14x07 Coda: Beanstalks
Destiel, Sam and Rowena hanging out. 1.5 k
Sam feels wrung out, like he can’t even summon one last drop of emotion about this latest failure. Instead, he watches, numb, as Jack’s chest rises and falls at increasingly ragged intervals.
It feels like sitting across from Dean in a ratty motel room as the clock wound down, two days from the end, already imagining the way a hellhound’s claws would sound on the linoleum. It feels like demon blood in emptied-out milk cartons and the Horsemen’s rings digging into his palms.
Inevitable. Permanent.
Except not really, because neither of those endings had ever really been the end. Sam can’t help but think that this really is it.
“I’ll leave you to it, then,” Rowena says.
Dean and Cas have long since vanished into another corner of the bunker. Sam can’t help but think that his brother is looking for one of the bottles of ridiculously expensive whiskey that Crowley stashed in various weird places around the bunker. As for Cas—well. He hopes he’s going to angelically clean out Dean’s liver afterwards.
“No, wait.”
She pauses in the doorway, one hand resting on the doorframe. Sam has been meaning to talk to her for weeks now, but things have been a bit crazy lately. This time is as good as any.
“We need to talk.”
Rowena raises one manicured eyebrow, suspicion seeping from every ounce of her expression. Sam clears his throat, looks back at Jack. It seems wrong to have this conversation in front of him.
“At least get something to drink before you go,” Sam says, before he even really knows what he’s saying. “On the house.”
She follows him through to the kitchen. Luckily, Dean and Cas haven’t retreated there. It was his brother’s refuge for a long time, but ever since the bunker started getting regular visitors from the refugee hunters, he hasn’t been sticking around there as much. Sam has been meaning to talk to him about it. Oh well. The problem will still be there once Jack—after he—
“Did you drive?” he asks, opening the fridge.
Rowena stares at him. “Samuel. Are you implying that I can’t hold my liquor? I do have magic, you know.”
Sam shakes his head. Lately, he’s been keeping an eye on alcohol intake around the bunker. For one, he doesn’t want Lebanon’s single police officer to pull over someone who doesn’t legally exist for driving under the influence.
Screw hunter culture or however Dean describes it. The last thing he needs is a bunch of miniature John Winchesters walking around.
Rowena finally settles on one of those fruity wine coolers that Mom keeps around (“Don’t judge me, they taste good!”). Sam snags a beer for himself and drops on to one of the benches next to the table. Rowena sits herself primly across from him.
“What is this about?”
Sam lets out a breath. “Nick. Lucifer’s vessel.”
Rowena’s face goes a shade lighter than her usual, her sharp features and makeup standing out against the white. Sam resists the urge to reach across the table and comfort her. Rowena, after all, isn’t a thing like the other world’s hunters.
“He’s alive.”
She stands up, sending the bench skittering behind her. The wine cooler nearly tips over. Sam holds his hands out, palms up, placating.
“You told me Dean killed him!”
Her voice is at least an octave higher than normal. Sam clears his throat.
“He’s dead. You think I’d lie about that?”
Rowena holds his gaze for a long moment, searching for something that she can’t find. Some trick. Sam lets her think.
“But this—this Nick. He survived?”
Sam shrugs. “Wound to the side. Fatal to an archangel because of the blade, but not quite enough to kill a human.”
That’s what he’s been telling himself, anyway. He has to. If he thinks about Gadreel, lurking in his subconscious, hidden until he chose to reveal himself, he’ll never sleep again.
“He’s been missing for a few weeks,” Sam explains. “I think staying—seeing hunters, seeing me—it was too much for him. I just wanted you to know, in case you ran into him somehow.”
It was exactly the sort of ridiculous coincidence that wouldn’t even surprise him at this point.
Rowena sits in silence for a long time, contemplating it. At last, Sam can’t keep the question in any longer.
“Why did you help Jack?” Sam asks. “Knowing who his father is—”
Rowena drains her drink in one quick swig that Sam hasn’t seen from anyone but Dean. “Lucifer killed me once, Samuel.”
Sam looks down. He can’t even really feel the table beneath his grip, but he’s holding on tightly enough to bleach his knuckles white. Rowena can’t meet his eyes, either. They both just stare ahead of them.
“It took him twenty-three minutes,” she continues, voice so quiet that Sam can hardly hear it. “Twenty-three minutes for one death.”
She begins to pull a peacoat over her shoulders.
“He had you for 63,072,008 if Fergus was to be believed.”
Sam flinches despite himself. Wonders what else Crowley knew about his time downstairs. Wonders who was counting.
“Yet you look at that boy and all I can see is love.”
He nods. Suddenly, despite the fact that he hasn’t cried throughout this entire ordeal, Sam’s throat closes over.
“There must be something special about him.”
Sam swallows, wills for the feeling to go away. When he finally manages to meet Rowena’s eyes again, she offers him a small, sad smile. He thinks about the Book of the Damned and the spell that needed a young Scottish man.
“Careful. You’re getting sentimental.”
It’s like Rowena’s pulled a shade over her expression. “Don’t go expecting it again, Sam Winchester.”
Cas is usually a pretty quiet guy. But when he doesn’t say a word as he brushes by Dean out the door, Dean follows him. To his surprise, Cas doesn’t head to Jack’s room to grab his favored hoodie or to his own for some time to himself. Instead, he heads for the front door.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Dean demands, just as Cas hits the steps without acknowledging him.
Cas spins around, fast enough that the coat whips behind him. “I’m going to Sergei, and I’m going to kill him. Then, I’m going to ransack his trailer until I find something that can help Jack.”
There’s a desperation in his eyes that Dean remembers from the days of the civil war with Raphael. His heart lurches at the thought that that version of Cas could ever return.
“Cas. Come on, man, he doesn't’t have anything. He’s a scammer. We should have expected that from any associate of Ketch’s.”
They’d been so desperate for any solution that they’d been willing to take the handful of magic beans. They should have known better.
For a moment, he thinks that Cas is going to ignore him and fly off in a huff anyway. Instead, something in him crumples. His shoulders sag, and suddenly the trench coat looks several sizes too large. Dean guides him to sit beside him on the steps.
“You did everything you could.”
Cas just stares straight ahead. “I told Kelly I would protect him. I thought that would mean from the outside world. Not his own body.”
Dean places a hand on his knee and squeezes gently. Cas leans into his side.
“He told me today that he had a good life.”
Cas’s breath catches. Thinking back on the memory of it—the rush of the water, the quiet whirring noise of his line whipping out into the river—Dean can’t quite breathe right, either. Jack was right. He’s been thinking about that time Bobby took him fishing ever since the other version of him stepped through the rift.
“He spent half of it being tortured by Michael,” Cas manages.
Dean closes his eyes. He hasn’t spoken about it to Sam yet, but sometimes he thinks he knows just as much about Michael as he does about him. Thinks he can see things from before the possession, like Mom screaming. Jack locked in a cage. The world in flames.
“If it had been up to me,” Dean says once he manages to shake the disturbing images from his mind, “I would have killed him.”
Cas flinches, but Dean keeps talking.
“Once I knew what he was capable of, I wouldn’t have stopped looking until I found a way to ice him. But you and Sam, you wouldn’t give up on him. You’re the reason he thinks he’s had a good life.”
Cas laughs, bitter. “He doesn’t know any better.”
At that, Dean can’t help a smile. “Hell, Cas, do any of us? You think any sane person would think I’ve had a good life?”
Cas stares at him in that searing, angelic way of his. The kind of look that used to make Dean wonder just how much angels could read minds. “Do you?”
Dean looks out on the rest of the bunker in front of him. Growing up in motel rooms, he’d never known what it was like to have a home you couldn’t pace to the other end of. Hadn’t known what it was like to rely on more than just Sam and Dad.
“Yeah,” he says at last, dropping his hand from Cas’s knee.
He tangles his fingers in Cas’s instead. Cas smiles down, fleetingly, at their joined hands.
“You’ve helped.”
Cas’s grip tightens. “I don’t want him to hurt. He—he’s a child, still, even if he doesn’t look it.”
Dean lets out a breath. “Yeah.”
He can’t stand the thought of just letting Jack waste away, but what other choice do they have?
“Come here.”
He pulls Cas into a sloppy sideways hug, complicated by the railings and the fact that they’re both sitting down. If Cas is uncomfortable, he doesn't show it. He just burrows further into Dean’s arms. Dean presses a kiss to the top of his head.
Finally, Dean lets go.
“Go get a Star Wars movie, all right? I’m gonna get the TV set up so he can watch it with us.”
Cas lets out a shuddering breath. Then, he squares his shoulders. “I refuse to watch the first one again.”
Dean rolls his eyes, faking a lighter tone. “You mean the best film ever made? Fine, but I pick the snacks.”
There’s not a lot they can do for Jack, sure. But what they can do, they’ll do together.

Kidnapped by Satan? (Part Three of Letters to Satan Series)
“Jack! It’s time to go!” Dean called from the other side of the door. Jack sat up, blinking his eyes at the bright morning light. Remembering last night’s events, he looked around for his father, but he was no where to be found. Jack got up with a stretch, feeling better rested than…well, since he’d been born.
A few hours later, he was riding in the backseat of the Impala with Castiel while the Winchesters argued about where to stop for lunch. They were on their way back to the bunker. Jack met Dean’s eyes in the rearview mirror.
“Jack…Are you okay? I know it’s got to be rough running into Lucifer like that. I can’t pretend to know what you’re feeling right now, but if you need to talk, we’re all here for you.” Dean said, tapping his fingers against the wheel. Sam grunted his agreement, while Castiel reached over and wrapped an arm around Jack’s shoulders.
“It’ll be okay, Jack. We won’t let him hurt you again.” Castiel said, rubbing the back of Jack’s neck affectionately.
“I’m alright. I… I don’t think he wants to hurt me. I’m not sure what exactly he wants, but I don’t think he’ll ever hurt me again.” Jack mumbled, unable to meet anyone’s eyes. How could he explain that he wanted to be around his father, after everything he’s done to the Winchesters, Castiel, and countless others?
“Well, don’t worry. He won’t ever get the chance.” Sam said confidently, focused intently on his phone.
…
“I like him; he’s adorable.” Nick said as Lucifer surfed the web. They were sitting in a quaint little coffee shop with free-to-use computers for public access. He was searching for any leads on Michael and what he could be planning next. Lucifer smiled warmly, remembering Jack curling up into his side as he slept. They had stayed with him most of the night, keeping watch over the little Nephilim.
“Yeah, he’s a little cutie. Kinda reminds me of my brother Gabriel when he was a fledgling.” Lucifer mumbled, still focused on the task at hand. Now that he had seen with his own eyes that Jack was fine, he could focus on getting rid of Michael.
“So what will we do after we take out Michael?” Nick asked, sounding bored. “Grab Jack and settle down in the mountains somewhere?”
“Something like that.” Lucifer sighed, closing down the computer. Nothing. “I won’t force him to go with me. I want him to choose me on his own.” Lucifer eyed Nick warily. “I already made the mistake of trying to tear him away; I won’t do it twice.” Lucifer rose from his seat, nodding his thanks to the coffee shop clerks on the way out. “Besides, I have some other things to attend to first.”
“Oh? Do tell.”
“I’m going to free my brother from Hell. Then we’re going to take out the other Michael together.”
…
“Home sweet home!” Dean sang as the Impala pulled up in the bunker. “You okay back there, kid?” Jack looked up and smiled. He had been rather quiet on the trip back to Lebanon, but Dean let it go. The kid had been through a lot, after all.
“I’m fine, Dean.” Jack said, sliding out of the car.
“Jack!” Mary entered the bunker, embracing the boy. She then turned and hugged her sons in turn. “How was the trip?” Jack looked down at his feet, while Mary met Sam and Dean’s eyes.
“I’m kinda tired. I’ll be in my room.” Jack said, grabbing his bag and retreating to his bedroom. Mary watched him, then turned to her sons and Castiel.
“What happened?”
“Lucifer happened.” Sam spoke up. “He’s back.”
Mary covered her mouth, then replied, “Did he do something to Jack?”
“No.” Castiel answered. “He said he just wanted to check on Jack. He was the one who caused the string of murders. He claims they were demons.”
“Why would he go after demons?”
…
“Ugh…” Jack groaned, laying down on his bed. His head was pounding. He wasn’t sure what to do about his father. He wanted to be with him, but he also didn’t want to upset Dean, Cas, or Sam. They were his family too. Jack grabbed his Chewbacca next to his pillow, a sad smile gracing his lips.
“Don’t worry, little Nephilim. It’ll all work out.” Jack looked up to see a dark-featured woman sitting in a chair on the other side of his room. Michael. The archangel smiled, a malicious glint in his eye. “Happy to see me?”
“How did you get in here?” Jack said, rising slowly from the bed. With a snap of his fingers, Michael had him pinned down with his grace.
“Same way I got in last time. I remembered to sever the alarms before I came in this time, though.” Michael shook his head. “I’ve been waiting for you to get back. Did you have a nice time with your daddy?”
“What?” Jack croaked out, the pressure on his body increasing. The bastard had been following him in New Orleans. “What do you want?”
“That’s the question, isn’t it?” Michael smiled. “I’ve asked many here that same question, and have yet to get an intelligent response.” He crossed the room and stroked the side of Jack’s face with one hand. Jack cringed, trying to pull away as much as he could. “What I want right now is you. I want to remake this world, but first I have to destroy it. Then from the ashes, we’ll make this world anew, the way I want it.”
“Why me? Why not have a child of your own? I hate you.”
“But, Jack, we’re family.” Michael smiled, then continued. “You may hate me now, but with enough time, that will fade. Your loyalty to the Winchesters, to Castiel, that will also fade. You’ll become more like me.” Jack started thrashing, desperate to get away.
“I won’t help you! I’ll never be like you!”
“We’ll see about that.” Michael said, pressing two fingers to Jack’s forehead, knocking him out. Humming, the archangel scooped up the boy, then spread his wings.
…
“Jack?” Castiel knocked on the boy’s door, wanting to check on him. He had been locked away in his room since yesterday. He paused, listening for any sound. When he didn’t hear any signs of movement, he opened the door, revealing an empty room. “DEAN!!!” Turning on his heel, he raced through the bunker to the war room.
“Jack’s missing!” Castiel screeched, finding Sam and Dean chatting with Mary.
“Missing? Are you sure he’s not in the bathroom again?” Sam inquired nonchalantly. “Remember last time?”
“He’s not there this time! I swear!”
“Lucifer.” Dean muttered. “He must have waited until we got back to the bunker to throw us off.”
“So much for just wanting to check on his son.” Sam snorted. “Cas, can you track them?” Cas shook his head. The group froze as they heard a loud banging from the bunker door. Sam slowly headed up the stairs, pausing by the door. The rest of the group held their breath, waiting in silence as Sam unlocked the door. “What the Hell are you doing here?”
“I’m here to see my son. Well, that, and introduce his Uncle Mikey.” Lucifer popped through the door, followed by the Michael from this world. “Now, where is he?” He asked, lacing his fingers together.
“You took him!” Dean screamed, slamming his fist down.
“Um, no… I didn’t.” Lucifer looked confused, then his face twisted in rage. “Did you morons lose my son? Again?”
…
“So, let me get this straight. You rejected me, but said yes to that dick?” Michael hissed, throwing a fit. “And for what? For him to try to kill my brother and then take you for a joyride?” He put his hands on his hips, staring Dean down.
“No, he tricked me. And isn’t that what you wanted to do, anyway?” Dean glared back, leaning over the table. Mary and Sam tried to intervene, but Castiel and Lucifer walked back in at the perfect time.
“Look what I found!” Lucifer commented drily, holding up a long feather. Michael stared at it, then looked at his own wings. “It seems the bunker’s warding isn’t up to date. Other-world Michael came right in.” Lucifer snarled, eyes flashing red. “You idiots let him get taken. Now, you’re going to help me get him back.”
“Where would he even take him? And why? Jack doesn’t have his full power back.” Mary commented, face twisted with worry.
“Give me a minute.” Michael murmured, eye closed in concentration. “I should be able to trace him since his grace is so much like my own.” He freezes, then opens his eyes. “He’s in Lawrence, Kansas.”
…
“Let me go!” Jack struggled against his bonds futilely. He falls off the couch he was laid on, landing face first. “I will kill you!”
“Pretty words.” The other Michael twisted a wineglass in his hand, gingerly taking a sip. “Unfortunately, you won’t get the chance. Your family is on their way to get you back as we speak.”
Jack stopped struggling, shifting his eyes towards the door. If he could just get out, maybe he’d have a chance. “Then they’ll kill you.”
“No.” He placed the glass on the table, bored. “They won’t kill me. Not when I take Dean’s body back.” Jack looks up at him, horrified. “Everything is going according to plan.” Michael smiled, looking out over the stormy sky from inside the penthouse suite. “Perfect. Just perfect.”

Walking After You
Pairings: Gabriel x Reader
Tags/Warnings: Angst, fluff
Song: Walking After You by Foo Fighters
Word Count: 2082
You had first seen him at the edge of a street corner.
It was mid-July, on one of your earliest cases. The suit you were wearing was hot and uncomfortable, and it was exacerbating your already sour mood. What had seemed like a simple salt and burn at the surface, was growing far more complicated the more you dug. You were in a hurry to get to your motel room to get out of the heat and change into something more comfortable when you felt a prickle on the back of your neck. The feeling of being watched.
You paused mid-stride, instincts kicking in as you scanned your surroundings. There. He was leaning against a sweet shop shamelessly staring at you. When your eyes met, he gave a nod and the smallest of smiles.
For some reason, you shivered. You immediately looked away, ducking your head down and continuing to your motel room.
You weren’t scared per say. That wasn’t what made you turn your head. There was something off about the man, something in the tilt of his head, the curve of his smile, the way his eyes seemed to glow golden despite the bright July sunshine.
You had casually asked the locals about him, during your investigation but discovered very little. He had come into town two days before you had, which had taken him off the suspect list since the phenomena had been going on for at least two weeks. He had introduced himself as Locke, and that was all anyone knew about him.
You would see Him around now and again. Always at distance, and always just…watching. You had tried several times to talk to Him, but He always seemed to disappear before you got close enough.
Until that one night. Alone in a house that was invested with angry spirits, you were way out of your depth. You had come expecting two spirits worst case scenario. There turned out to be around nine of them total. You had barricaded yourself into a room and was desperately trying to finish a salt circle when one of them appeared right in front of you. You screamed, jumping back. You threw the last tiny bit of the salt at it and it hissed but did not vanish. It advanced on you, and you scrabbled around trying to find anything to ward it off.
And then in the midst of all that chaos, you heard a snap, and the spirit was gone. The cacophony from all the others had ceased and the only sound you were left was your own ragged breathing. And He was there, leaning on the wall opposite radiating smug satisfaction.
“You alright there, Cupcake?”
You gaped at him, still trying to catch your breath. “What-how-who are you?!” You picked up the empty salt container and held it out in a pitiful attempt to look threatening.
Locke rolled his eyes. “Relax sweetheart, if I had wanted to hurt you, I would’ve left you to Casper the unfriendly ghost.”
“You’re welcome, by the way” He added when you didn’t respond.
You stared at him, not letting your guard down for a minute. “Why?” you demanded.
Locke shrugged. “I was in the neighborhood” You gave him a flat stare. “I was bored,” He said, a hint of defensiveness in his tone.
“Who-what are you?”
He only grinned, waggled his eyebrows, and vanished.
The next time you saw him, was at a café in some small town in Nowhere USA. You had just finished a job and was avoiding the stares of the other patrons by reading.
“Good book?”
You jumped, spilling your drink. “Jesus Christ” you hissed earning a glare from the elderly lady at a nearby table
“Not quite,” Locke said dryly. You reached for a napkin to mop up the mess but found the table dry and your drink sitting upright.
“What are you doing here?” you whispered, glancing around at the other customers in the café, but none of them had seemed to notice Locke’s sudden appearance. “You can’t-go away”
Locke raised his hand to his chest in mock hurt “But I only just got here” You ignored him, opening your book, and hoped that the lack of attention would send him back to wherever he came from.
Half and hour and two cups of coffee later, it became abundantly clear that Locke was not going to leave. You put down your book with a sigh. “I didn’t catch your name,” You remarked, watching in horrified fascination as he downed his sixth cup of hot cocoa.
“Didn’t throw it, sugar?” He said casually.
You rolled your eyes. “Y/N,” you said “My name is Y/N L/N”
“Well,” He said with exaggerated grandness “It is a pleasure to meet you Y/N L/N” Locke smiled, his eyes twinkling as he took your hand and pressed his lips to your knuckles. You felt heat rising in your cheeks and prayed that it wasn’t visible.
“Oh please,” you said with a coy smile, matching his tone “The pleasure is all mine, Mr…?”
“Just Locke will do,” He said, his grin growing wider.
“Well then,” you said “Just Locke. Is there anything I can do for you? There is a significant lack of angry ghosts so I can’t imagine you’re here to save me again.”
Locke shrugged nonchalantly. “Just passing through?”
You raised a skeptical eyebrow at him “Really?” you said, drawing out the word. “So, you aren’t stalking me then?”
“I would never!”
“So, all those times I caught you watching me…that was just a coincidence?”
Locke winced “Had to make sure you weren’t hunting me. Just a safety precaution, nothing personal.”
“Should I be hunting you?” you said, leaning forward and resting your hand on the knife tucked into your jeans.
The question hung in the air, and the voices in the café seemed suddenly muted and distant. Locke leaned forward. “You’re welcome to try,” he said softly, his eyes burning into yours, and you were once again struck with the feeling of off-ness. This…being radiated power and otherworldliness, and you felt very, very small.
You leaned back slowly, bringing your hand off your knife, to rest on the table and Locke relaxed. The moment had passed, the noises of the café returning.
“What are you?” you asked quietly.
Locke smiled “Just passing through” was all he said, and then he was gone.
He would return at random intervals, sometimes giving you helpful tips, or pointing you in the right direction on a case, other times appearing simply to pester you into talking to him. At first, mouths could pass before you would see him again, but as time wore on his visits became more and more frequent. You never could figure out what he was, though you had several guesses. You attempted to spring the question on him, but he always had some witty line ready.
It was after a particularly nasty fight with a werewolf. You were leaning against a tree, trying to catch your breath and grinning at some stupid story Locke was telling when you winced in pain. Lifting your pant leg, you found three claw marks. You grimaced, certain that it was going to leave a scar when you felt a hand on your shoulder and the pain and marks vanished.
You looked up to see Locke standing beside you, frowning. Your eyes met, and he brushed his hand against your cheek, and this time you felt something ghost across your face, healing up little cuts and nicks you had accumulated over the years.
“What are you?” you whispered
Locke’s mouth curved up “A friend” he answered before vanishing into the night.
You stopped asking after that.
And then the Angels came.
And Locke was gone.
At first, you were worried, wondering if something had happened to him. You brushed that aside, Locke was too powerful, too clever. You decided painfully that he had finally grown bored and had simply moved on. You weren’t bitter of course. Not at all.
Things just won't do without you, matter of fact Oh oh ooh I'm on your back I'm on your back
And so, when he appeared months later, sitting across from you, leaning back casually as if nothing had happened, you weren’t the least bit angry.
“Been a long time?” You said after a while, keeping your eyes glued to the book you had been reading “Thought you forgot about me”
“Been busy” Locke said shortly. You snuck the briefest glance up at him and was startled to find his usual calm, nonchalance had been replaced by a distracted, almost nervous air. Locke was on edge, and that meant nothing good.
Still, that was none of your business.
“So have I,” You said, flicking your eyes back to your book. “Angels and demons and all sorts of biblical shit. Don’t know if you noticed.”
Locke ignored you, continuing to flick his eyes around the room as if watching for something. “I can’t stay here” He muttered, almost to himself
You swallowed down a wave of bitterness. “Well, don’t let me keep you.” You said with false cheer.
“Come with me”
Your head snapped up. “Uh..what?”
“Run away with me,” Locke said stronger this time, his eye meeting yours.
“Where?” You asked bemused
“Anywhere you like,” Locke said, spreading his arms in a grand gesture. “Anywhere in the universe.”
“I can’t just leave” you spluttered “Demons…the sealsLucifer!”
“I hate to break it to you, sweetheart, but it’s already too late,” Locke said.
“No-we can still stop it” you argued
“Trust me,” Locke said “You can’t” And for the first time, you noticed the pain in his eyes. You opened your mouth to speak, but he cut you off. “Please.” He said, his voice growing soft. “I missed you”
For one shining second, you considered saying yes. Leaving behind all the stress of the imminent apocalypse, hunting, everything.
“I can’t,” you said “I’m sorry”
Locke’s face tightened in frustration. “You’ll die.” He said, desperation coloring his voice. “If you stay you’ll die”
“Not neces-”
“You will” he interrupted “No listen, the apocalypse…Lucifer…you can’t win”
“We can try,” You said with growing irritation “My friends need me.”
“I need you”
The words hung in the air, and the both of you froze. You swallowed, heart-pounding “Locke-” But he was already gone.
I cannot be without you, matter of fact Oh oh ooh I'm on your back
Music played in the bar, and patrons chattered and laughed. A golden-haired man sat alone at a table, eyes staring into his untouched drink.
“You’re a hard man to find”
Locke jumped up, knocking his drink over. His eyes snapped up to meet yours and widened with recognition.
“Wait!” You pleaded before he could vanish once again “Please, I have to say something before you go, you owe me that much”
Locke stilled, his expression neutral. You walked over to him, throat dry. You opened your mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Weeks of searching and planning exactly what to say and you couldn’t find the words.
You leaned your hand against his cheek and kissed him chastely. “Stay with me” You whispered as you pulled away.
Locke stared at you, his expression torn before he pulled you in closer and kissed you.
If you walk out on me I'm walking after you
If you walk out on me I'm walking after you
The last time you saw him, was in an old library, mid case. Dusk was falling and you had been going on about the possibility of vampires when you trailed off realizing Locke had been usually silent. His face was lined with worry and he was looking distractedly out the window.
“Hey,” You said walking over to him “What it is, what’s wrong?”
He swallowed looking old and tired. “The Winchesters have managed to get themselves into even more trouble.”
“Yeah, they have a remarkable talent for that,” You said dryly “I suppose we’ve got to save them then”
Locke shook his head. “Not we”
“Nice try, but you’re not leaving me behind. Not again”
Locke shook his head “This isn’t your fight, sweetheart”
“It isn’t yours either” You argued. Locke looked away and didn’t respond. “Locke, what’s going on, what aren’t you telling me!?”
Silence
“What are you?!”
This time Locke looked up and smiled sadly. “I’m yours,” he said and kissed you before vanishing for the last time.
Another heart is cracked in two I'm on your back

hi tink ^_^ was wondering if you think both endgame human!cas and endgame angel!cas are both valid interpretations? im genuinely interested as I can't see the whole human!cas being a thing, and I'm open to learn more if you think that's what is actually going to happen. idk his experience as a human was miserable, i feel like maybe im missing something?? :0 u dont have to answer this if u dont want, as it may cause wank. ty
Hi!
Here’s my “overall” Cas meta from a while ago, nothing’s changed and a few other meta writers added to it so it’s a good view I think as to the whole concept:
https://tinkdw.tumblr.com/post/165781313412/why-do-you-think-cas-should-becomechoose-to-be
It’s a really crappy topic for divisiveness, in my experience the people who have, relatively, as much as possible, objectively analysed the author intent in the show have come to a pretty solid conclusion within the meta community that Human!Cas appears to be endgame based not on his experience as a human but the outcome, his overall arc since season 4 and the Chekhovs gun style flamingly blatant reminders throughout the show such as the repeated asking him if he wouldn’t rather be human, his choosing to be an Angel to go into battle powerful enough to save the people he loves and putting what he wants to one side and his clearly not wanting to be a soldier anymore.
It’s kind of like saying endgame Dean is for him to be emancipated and being able to openly watch Oprah and Disney etc even though on the surface he says he doesn’t like that stuff. Because the pretty obvious sublimation is there.
With Cas the sublimation isn’t quite as clear but it’s really all there. Yes he suffered as a human but he literally came out of it and said he missed it, while previous to being human he was curious and wanted to try human things (eg kissing meg) and afterwards we’ve seen him actively choosing to act more human, smiting less and fist fighting instead, acting more human, I mean the big one for me was when Dean asked him “and you’re okay with that?!” When he told him he got grace back to be able to fight and he just totally brushed it off saying he needed it to fight:

He later takes more grace which he had been previously rejecting but only to save Dean and then took his own grace back when again it’s needed for a fight whilst telling us the quote that the craziest thing a man can do is die.
He’s literally saying he’s killing himself / his wants for the greater good.
He needs grace for the fight and to be a good useful soldier and to save his family but does he want it?
Want v Need.
One of the biggest themes of the show.
Cas needs his grace to be useful when times are hard but is that what he wants?
In my opinion the show has repeatedly emphasised that it isn’t. I also think it’s clear he doesn’t want to be a soldier anymore and these things go hand in hand.
Others may use canon to say they think it is. Both interpretations are totally valid as long as they are based on canon and actually analysing the canon in a consistent manner.
The issue I have is certain people cherry picking and projecting their stories into it and claiming it’s an overall Cas’ arc since inception meta. That’s just not how meta writing works.
You can absolutely write that stuff but you can’t claim it’s objective and fully inclusive of canon and logical when it is just picking parts that fit your own desire for the character. Like, I didn’t want Lucifer to be centre stage in s13 but I didn’t just ignore it when it was.
Cherry picking things ie the one time Cas said “I just wanna be an Angel” when he was depressed, distraught at Dean’s death and wanted to stop feeling things as proof it’s what he really wants isn’t what I’d call meta writing of the whole story. That’s like saying Sam really wants to be a hunter and tag along beside his brother in the impala on the road for the rest of his life because he was a depressed, vengeful mess after Jess’ death and said ok let’s go. Is it really what Sam wants for himself and the rest of his life though? No way! That’s been clear too.
Even worse when some people claim to be bullied or triggered by other view points. Someone even screenshotted a few sentences I wrote that if you took away the top and bottom sentence looked like I was making no sense and anti Cas (me anti Cas. Lmao) but in the context obviously made sense and decided to create a wank storm about it because they didn’t like human cas meta and wanted to make me look bad. People need to grow up. This isn’t a meta discussion about interpretation it’s being a dick and being unable to contemplate another interpretation.
It makes a discussion totally impossible which moots the entire point of blogging on tumblr in the first place.
Absolutely all interpretations are valid, it’s just a case of how you pitch your interpretation. If you want to state your interpretation of a character absolutely go for it! I used to be all up for Angel!Cas meta until a few utter assholes decided to be personal and ridiculous about it. Now I don’t touch it with a barge pole. Same as M*gstiel.
But that doesn’t invalidate anyone’s good, thought out, canon analysing endgame Angel!Cas meta.
For example my own interpretation of the siren episode is different to many other meta writers, we can discuss it and have polite and great conversations without getting triggered / defensive because we aim to discuss author intent, our own interpretations and do so in a civil manner. There’s one meta writer in particular I’ve had altercations with in the past over some differences of opinion on speculative things and ways of writing meta but who I get on well with, admire and like talking to because we are adults and literally get over it.
There’s also a few people who unfortunately though I agree meta wise about things on the show have been so nasty irl to myself and others that I’ve cut them off completely.
Interpretations are interpretations until they are canon, I’m lucky that most of mine have become so or are clearly on their way but I can also be wrong ie I thought Asmodeus would be more important to character exposition than he was, life moves on. I also didn’t realise quite what it would mean that he would be a Bucklemming own concept and not really used by anyone else, I thought perhaps he’d be used by others by the wasn’t, now I have that knowledge in my pocket meta on anything that sets up for Bucklemming use is kinda meh don’t bother analysing it much it’s probably not hugely important to the overall story being told by the showrunner, ie Nick.
All interpretations are valid is very true. Eg. I can interpret Cas’ story as a metaphor for a queer kid (and in particular trans) coming from a conservative family and emancipating themselves and someone else can interpret it as an immigrants story.
If the show starts changing this then I will change my meta, because my meta is an analysis of what the show is doing, not what I want. For example I never wanted Dean to be queer representation, I was totally heteronormative and would have been totally cool with him ending up alone or with a woman, it’s the show that made me want something different for him through consistent and repeated canon blatant hints at something else. Same as Cas, I was totally ready in season 4 to just like him as a cool character and for him to bog off back to Heaven after being useful but he was captivating as an ally and it grew from there. For ages I would totally have put to one side the hints at a romantic part of his story and loved for him to become the third brother, it’s the show that made me see more between him and Dean, I never would have imagined that myself, I was a boring heterormative adult more interested in the individual characters’ stories than shipping, I thought shipping was just maritime transferral of goods before I was like wtf and googled Destiel after 10x05 cos I’d finally found a name for what I’d been seeing evolve for 6 years.
Sam goes for Cas’ own individual arc and what he wants. I never had a clue what I wanted from him until the show told me what I should want by repeating something clearly over 10 years. If they suddenly change any part of the story then they change it (and I’ll be annoyed they changed something so entrenched but I’m not going to bitch @ tptb for it or whatever, it’s their choice, they’re the creator and once it’s changed I’ll meta that) but so far it’s been the same, clear story to me for 10 years.
An interpretation is an interpretation but it’s when you start, as I do and some others do, saying you believe this one is the authors intention that you have to be more careful about backing it up with canon and logic and not getting #triggered when someone disagrees.
If you’re going to pitch it as what you believe the author intent is then you have to leave your personal projections at the door and work solely based on the canon, the production, what the author may have said outside of canon etc. It has nothing to do with your own wants for the character or show.
It also means when someone has valid canon supported arguments to the contrary you can have a really interesting discussion and I love that.
#meta writing#meta discussions#meta#what gets problematic is when ppl cant see past their interpretation or attribute it to the author based on nothing concrete and wildly#speculate or bash other interpretations based on actual analysis of canon#i know i look like im aggressive but 99.99% of the time im hitting back at#ppl being dicks#because no#ill scroll by to a point but start tagging tptb on twitter or using main tags here for unfounded wank#or screenshotting my meta to take it out of context to start your own wank#is just bullshit behaviour and i have zero tolerance for it#human!cas
